I had ZERO driving experience before enrolling with ABC - literally, never touched the wheel. On my second appointment, after only three hours of training, I was already driving on a highway and up and down the winding roads of South Mountain. Nicole, my instructor, is a top professional. Her instructions were always clear and helpful. She pushed and challenged me to get the best result out of my abilities, but also encouraged me to help me feel confident and calm. I had a great experience. I'm 21 and hardly had practice behind the wheel when I became a student. First time around, I had Larry as my instructor; he was helpful and entertaining. The second time around, I had Kevin Kolasa; he was extremely resourceful, patient and intelligent. Both instructors tailored my driving routes to familiarize me with my routine. My first experience (6 hours) taught me to relax and not over-think every little thing. My second experience (10 hours) taught me to be observant and discerning of other drivers on the road. I got my license the day after my training and have been driving safely since. A little bit later after being an official driver, I had received a thank you card in the mail from ABC Driving School and still felt happy that I chose them. Just had an encounter with this company. I'm not impressed, to say the least. One of their drivers stopped into our repair facility with a flat tire. I was happy to air up the tire. Upon inspection I was appalled to see BOTH front tires were showing steel cords! People's kids are in these cars! We asked if they would like us to price out some tires for them. They informed us that the tires were BRAND NEW 2 weeks ago! The date code on the tires were over a year old! In my 20 years of repairing vehicles I have NEVER seen a set of new tires wear out in 2 weeks! Even with the worst alignment! So, if you want your kids to drive a safe vehicle, do not use ABC driving school! Read Less

I Happily have sent many students to them to develop their driving skills. Always had good results. They offer our six hour cash special. The six hour special is done over two days, with approximately 1 1/2 hours of training, then a short break and return to the car for the remaining 1 1/2 hours of training. Because most drivers are in the car on average from 20 to 45 minutes at a time, our six hour special gives you the opportunity to practice new safe techniques in real world traffic. Our road training includes the basic handling skills, backing, covering the brake at intersections, correct stops at a stop sign and traffic light, proper signaling, blind spots, safe lane changes, safe and correct entering and exiting private property, safe following distance, positioning the car in traffic, proper lane to travel in, detailed requirements for passing the road test, practice skills without the fear of heavy traffic, and when ready, real world traffic driving on busy thoroughfares.I have great admiration for the instructors at ABC Driving School. I have sent many students to them to develop their driving skills. Always had good If you need a quick study to prepare you for your Arizona road test at the MVD or the more intense 10 hour training course after which includes your state Road Skills Evaluation "THEY HAVE YOU COVERED". All the high reviews are 2 years and below. The manager at this store put in my appointment for Oct 5 when I said Oct 12. 1 more employee contacted me apparently and confirmed this with me which never happened. The instructor called my mum who had no info on the appointment to confirm. This situation wouldn't have happened if they had only put in the number right the first time. So basically they would rather steal 45$ to cover the appointment that was missed because of a management problem. Even if they expect the 2ND number to know my date, they didn't tell me. I shouldn't have to record every call I have just to get someone to write down a date correctly. Read Less

I just called to get information and was told to practice with someone else first. My question to the person was "what is the point of hiring you all, if I have someone else to practice with"? Their response was essentially that they will teach me how to pass the road test. I don't need to pay someone $300 to teach me to memorize a test. I will pay though for someone to teach me how to drive properly and be comfortable on the road. Then I can easily pass any maneuver the road test proctor suggests. I was scheduled for 10 hours of driving, 5 hours on Sunday, 5 hours on Monday. I've had my learners permit almost 2 years so my parents finally helped me get a license. We had our instructor come to our house both times (his name was tony) and taking me driving/ practice parking. In 2 days I learned more from him than 2 years of my parents. He is very smart, humorous, yet professional. On Monday after my last driving lesson from him, we went to the 3rd party DMV to take my drivers test. I passed with a 100%!!!! Thanks to tony I mastered my parallel parking, and aced the drivers test. He's a very good teacher and makes you feel comfortable with driving. My over all experience was just perfect. When we called the ABC driving school to make my appointment I had no wait! I was scheduled with in 3 days. I wouldn't go anywhere else for driving school. But in order to get the certification for your insurance, you must complete and pass the DMV's road test. ASK FOR TONY!!!!! Read Less

STAY AWAY OF THEM! The most terrible experience ever! They are polite only when they want their money. I bought 6 hours for my son.They called me after first lesson and said they lost my check asking to issue them the other one. So I did by the way going thru the trouble to cancel the first one in the bank because I had no idea where it was floating. When I called them to schedule the second lesson I was told that it was too late because it was more than a year and it is expired. HUH? Expired? It is not a coupon,not a vaucher, it is hard cash paid. They said it was a company policy. I drove there today to tack to company owner Mr McLane. He had an attitude ""I don't know!"". He said they have no records and people come all the time to scam them. He actually treated me as a scammer though I had their receipt and instructor's check list for 3 hours! Where do I begin? Last month I called ABC Driving School to schedule lessons for my 16 year old daughter. We wanted weekend lessons as my daughter is a student and weekend hours worked better for my daughter. I related to the woman that my daughter's driving permit would be expiring in 2 months and we wanted lessons completed before then. The only Sunday sessions that were available were a month a way. We were okay with waiting a month for her lessons to begin as we were reassured her lessons would be completed before her permit expired. It is now Friday afternoon, the weekend of my daughter's first lesson. She has been waiting for this weekend with great anticipation/excitement. I received a call from ABC Driving School saying that ""Something has come up"" and that my daughter's lessons are cancelled for this Sunday. The soonest they can reschedule her is a month away from now, leaving us to have to renew her permit. I asked for the owener and the man on the phone said ""He is just going to tell you what I told you!"" The man on the phone was very unprofessional and did not have any solution to the problem. He exhibited an ""OH WELL!!"" attitude even when reminded him of the situation they had left us in. I came up with a couple of solutions to possibly help my daugher get her lessons completed in the next 20 days..ABC Driving School did nothing to work with us and the unfortunant situation they had caused.. Please look elsewhere! After looking online.. I had an opportunity to have two instructors during my lessons. For the first lesson I had Niels and for the second one I had Larry. Niels was very unpleasant and impatient. It was for the first time I drove in the city but I was much more stressed by the instructor than the traffic around me. The lesson was so stressful that I was afraid of the second one. Larry was realy pleasant and very kind to me. He was patient and tought me so many useful things. I was afraid to drive at freeways before this lesson and now I know it isn't so difficult as it could seem to be. To tell the truth the web pages of this driving school argued me out of this school first. Because there is very little information about the lessons like number of hours or the price. You cannot find out almost anything there you have to call them. That's a pity because the price is realy good and quality too when you have the right instructor. Read Less

I needed to find a driving school to teach me to drive since I didn't really have anyone else that had the time to do so. The instructor I got was friendly and calm, which put me at ease. Unfortunately, I didn't think two lessons were enough, since I just moved here, don't know the area, and things are very different than what I'm used to. I also had little experience driving and was having difficulty with some things. I was surprised that I wasn't taught some important things, like how to park and parallel park. I still have some trouble with parking lots. My ""road test"" only consisted of driving to and from one place twice. I haven't had my license for very long, and I already have to attend Traffic Survival School. I wanted to have more lessons, but was told I was ready (I disagreed) and that was all. I think that if I was able to take more lessons, I might not still be having some trouble on the road. I already had my Instruction Permit. I wasn't required to go to the classroom but my parents insisted, they wanted me to get the full experiance. Besides I would get a certificate for Insurance and participation. So off I went early Sat morning to my surprise the class taught by Neils was fun and covered things I had not thought about. After the class My Instructor Paul arrived at my High School and the driving began. I had been driving with my parents and felt comfortable driving, but Paul's training taught me alot more and the experiance was something that will stay with me for a long time. I am glad that my parents made me attend, although I must admit I was not a willing at first. I have already recommended a few of my friends. Read Less
