I do not recommend NControl Driving. I signed up my daughter for the course to for the MVD test exemption, but it turns out they didn't put her in that course. Since it's already been taken, I would have to sign her up for another $800 course to do that. Price is way too high for what I was supposed to get but didn't. Read Less

I've had two boys and my daughter go through this course and I've been impressed with the instructors and all that they learn each time. Let's face it, most of us aren't good drivers (I AM though). And even less of us are good teachers, especially when it comes to teaching our kids. So having someone else teach your child to drive is a great idea! Give them the basics, then let N Control do the rest (and undo the wrong info you taught them). Make sure you do the skid car. There is no other way to teach your child how to recover from a blowout, ice, or hydroplaning. It may seem expensive up front, but having them not hit cars while parking, or recover from a blowout without wrecking the car or dying will make it worth every penny.Read Less

What I love about this driving school is that they come to your house and pick up your student for most lessons. This is a huge time saver for parents. Also, the email and phone communication are excellent! The instructors were very professional and always called ahead to tell you when they would be arriving. My daughter mostly seemed pleased with the instruction she received, and we immediately noted improvement in her driving. However, she did mention that the parking instruction was confusing to her. My daughter took this course, and they did a great job.  I feel she became a better driver from this school.  My older daughter took a class from another school and this was by far much better.  Before signing up, make sure you understand that your child will not receive credit for the class for insurance purposes, if they do not pass their relatively high driving expectations,  which, I realize, ultimately makes the child a better driver.  We did not realize this going into the program, but the owner was very professional and worked with us to find an amicable solution.  All said and done, I highly recommend this driving school and can honestly say, it made our daughter a much better driver. The instructors are so great --especially Phil, and extremely informative.  I passed my road test on the first try after a series of lessons, and really feel that I covered almost anything that I could encounter as a driver in this course.  I highly recommend this school to anyone. Read Less

Couldn't have asked for a better experience for our son. Instructors are patient and experienced. The front desk staff was so courteous and went out of their way to work with us . The cars were clean and new, and the instructor always left us with specific feedback on skills in which our son needed work. This course is excellent. My son had Steve as an instructor and he was great. Keeps you informed on concerns and strong points of your child's driving. Teaches great defensive driving and has all kinds of helpful tips for nervous new drivers. The defensive closed course was pretty awesome just be aware they are pretty rough on whatever car you use for that. (Slamming on breaks , turns etc)It's a pricey course, but the lesson is priceless Read Less

Im a 25 year airline pilot.  I know what professional training is, and this is it.Steve's demeanor is perfect for optimal learning.  His expertise was quickly obvious as he assessed my youngest daughters competency level, then challenged her to learn and become as proficient and safe as possible in the time available.My oldest daughter attended a different training course 3 years ago, but we were so impressed with Steve's instruction, that we plan to send her to his car control course to help her understand some of the more demanding performance requirements of operating HER car in adverse or unforeseen conditions.I personally observed all 6 hours of his instruction, plus the car control course, and am totally impressed.  New and experienced drivers alike will benefit from his experience and teaching style.The company is very well run, and communication is frequent and professional.  Scheduling can be a challenge, but they work very successfully to meet your availability.I couldn't recommend them highly enough, and consider the expense one of the best investments we have made for our daughters safety. LOVED this for our new driver!  Ask for Eric- he's FABULOUS.  Really knowledgeable, but easy going with a teenager.  Great temperment for a driving teacher.  Much better than me saying, stop...stooppp  STOOOPPPPPPPP! in my daugher's ear.    I'd save their 'crash course' for more experienced drivers, but the personalized 1:1 driving classes were terrific.  We will use them again when our youngest starts to drive! I have to say the first driving lesson was the most stressful 2 hours of my life. Because my daughter had absolutely NO confidence in herself (due to an accident 2 weeks after getting her permit), Warren had a very big task ahead of him. After a very quick trip around our neighborhood, we were headed to a main road, we continued a few miles on main roads, then he put her right on the freeway. She was scared to death (as was I). The driving instructor, Warren was amazing. I tell you the man is a Saint. He is calming, reassuring, and even when he is correcting a “problem” it is so positive. I know we were in safe hands and that he would not let anything happen, HE had total control. It would have taken me months to get her that kind of road time and I know she would have given up and refused to drive if it were me asking her to “merge into the right lane and get on the freeway”. I learned so much from Warren that I can use to help my daughter be a good driver. I truly feel that once she can regain her self confidence she can allow herself to relax and follow the instructions Warren gave her. We will be practicing and getting her behind the wheel as often as possible. Warren suggested that we take the 4 hour course in late January or February, so that is our current plan. It took us until July to actually schedule it, but it gave my daughter more road time.The Car Control was taught by, Steve. The fact that the class size is so small gave my daughter the one on one attention she needed (technically 3 on 1, but close enough). When i picked her up, she got in the car very excited about what she had learned and was actually excited about the idea of driving, for the first time. She told me all the details about what she learned and how she thought she did (both good and bad). She gained much more confidence and pushed herself in whole new direction. Our last class will be this Wednesday, the 3 hour class that will hopefully lead to her getting her license. Both scary and exciting!! When our son was 15 1/2, we started looking for a comprehensive driving school for him to attend. I am from the East Coast originally, and am used to teenagers getting drivers' ed in school; Arizona schools don't offer this service, and so began our search. We chose N Control Driving School because it sounded exactly like what we were looking for: classroom instruction, driver training, etc. The wonderful extra was their four hour accident avoidance safety class, using the company vehicles and simulating situations that could happen resulting from a crash or bad weather, etc. When our son was finished with this whole course, he was very well prepared for all kinds of driving situations. We are thrilled with the level of professionalism N Control displayed throughout the course. A post script is that two months after getting his license, our son was t-boned at an intersection by a driver who ran a red light. Our son's back right tire was destroyed and he started to skid through a busy intersection,heading straight for a pole. He tells us that he immediately remembered what he learned at N Control and quickly steered himself out of harm's way and to the side of the road.  The class quite literally may have saved his life!  We can't say enough great things about this place and would freely recommend it to any parent looking for the absolute best in driving schools for their child!! Ever tried to teach a 16 year old girl to drive?It'll make you want to buy stock in adult diaper companies.I swiftly realized that stomping on the floorboard with no brake pedal, clawing at the dashboard and yelling STOP! DAMMIT STOP! at my lovely daughter wasn't a very effective training method.Thank goodness for Eric and N Control Driving School. Eric was *fantastic*. He was funny, cordial, and immediately put my daughter (and her parents) at ease.Eric arrived, explained to all of us what he'd be doing and off they went in a pretty new car, with "STUDENT DRIVER" plastered all over it.Two hours later they returned (with the car in one piece) and I was amazed at the difference in my daughter's driving. She was FAR more confident in her skills. It was like night and day.We'll likely do a couple more sessions with N Control, and then she'll be off to the races -- figuratively speaking. Read Less
