Our daughter passed her test first time and we were, to be honest amazed!! She didn’t know her left from her right and she talks too much! After every lesson she came back buzzing! Pete encouraged her to drive for all of her lessons right from the start rather than lots of stop -starting with too much talk, so she truly practiced and we felt she got her money’s worth. He has a lovely friendly manner and makes it enjoyable and paces each pupil individually. We were recommended Pete by other friends who’s children have also passed first time. When Pete said she was ready to put in for her test we were surprised... but he knew what he was doing.. She passed, has bought herself her own car and is a confident driver! Pete is a calm and patient instructor which is what I needed as I felt quite nervous to start driving - he wouldn't mind going over anything i didn't feel confident about until I had got it which was very useful! In my first lesson I practiced with the clutch and finding the biting point and I didn't start driving properly until I knew what I was doing, which again was very good as I felt I wasn't pushed into doing something I wasn't confident in. Pete goes over all the test routes while you're learning so you get to know these, meaning when it comes to your test you've got a chance you've already done the route you're given. Pete was a fantastic instructor who helped build my confidence massively and thanks to him I passed first time! He would always check I felt comfortable and confident with new things I was learning and would teach at a pace that was perfect for me- I always felt happy to ask him to recap things I struggled with and he was always extremely accommodating. Before I even began my lessons I knew Pete would be brilliant at his job, considering I had received many recommendations from my family and friends! When I was first learning to drive, I was extremely nervous about driving out on the roads. Pete is the kind of instructor who can turn that nervous energy into excitement and make each lesson really enjoyable. I passed first time within 7 months of starting, and felt really prepared for the test having done many mock tests and knowing the test routes inside out.
