Abysmal. Had money stolen from an Acclaim driving instructor who gave me just a few lessons, took off for over two months and then showed up again out of the blue one week before my test to try and cram any remaining lessons in (knowing I work full time and didn't have the availability). He was also a terrible instructor in general- taught really bad habits and totally annihilated my confidence. To top it off he didn't show up for the test so I wasn't able to take it and he took £150 from me that I never got back. I tried complaining to acclaim who suggested I go to court and sue the instructor. They also said that he's "self employed" and "there's pretty much nothing they could do about it". With all of this however he is still listed on their website (David).
After moving to London I have now passed my test with a great driving school, but it took a while to recover my confidence.
Don't go to Acclaim- they are criminals. They don't want to teach you safe driving, they just want to steal your money.

Awful driving school. The instructor let me down numerous times for lessons, and on the day of my practical test I was supposed to have a 2 hour lesson before my test and my instructor never showed up...
Awful driving school. The instructor let me down numerous times for lessons, and on the day of my practical test I was supposed to have a 2 hour lesson before my test and my instructor never showed up for the lesson OR the practical test. He told me I would be refunded for the practical test fee but I am still chasing him for this £62.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THESE PEOPLE.

I passed my test today 1st time, and its all thanks to rix my driving instructor, im not the easiest of people some times but the man was always there to calm me down with his great tips and his knowledge of driving , even when I wasn't on my test I was always able to contact him with any questions or advice.iv already had family and friends ask for his number,so all in all a great experience and my little girls are over the moon, and its all thanks to this man, cheers rix . Awful driving school I block book 10 hours costing me £185, I have one lesson and then I get an email telling me the driving instructor has left and they had another on in my area, which I didn't want...
Awful driving school I block book 10 hours costing me £185, I have one lesson and then I get an email telling me the driving instructor has left and they had another on in my area, which I didn't want to have this person, I was again told there was another one in which I said okay can I do the hours I need, was told he don't work them hours, so I asked a refund, I was then told I could have one.
2 days later I look on the website at how long it takes to find out I will get charged £30 for this refund to get back to me, I contact them regarding this asking why I wasn't told about this when I asked for a refund to go somewhere else. The man was rude, later on in the day I called again asking to speak to the manger, I was told he was on the phone and the lady would get him to call me back, next day im still waiting to speak to the manager, avoid at all costs..
Rip off!
