A top class driving instructor. Having started lessons in October last year having never driven before, I have just passed following Bill's teaching and guidance. He made me feel comfortable and at ease from the first time I sat in the car. His method of teaching was extremely effective, tailoring the lessons to suit and providing very constructive criticism and encouragement to help iron out my weakest area's throughout the whole process. Passed first time with 2 minors! Bill is a fantastic man to learn with and puts all his confidence in you to make you realise anything is possible! Having been with other driving instructors before, and recommended to Bill, I can only say I wish this had of happened sooner! Having previously failed my driving test with another instructor I was apprehensive about getting behind the wheel again but decided to give it a go again but this time with Bill as an instructor...well what a difference he made! The consummate professional and ever so calm; Bill made me feel at ease straightaway and really supported my trainer driver journey. No matter how many stupid mistakes I made Bill made me feel confident and was always so patient, even though I was pregnant and kept forgetting the manoeuvres! I began my lessons with Bill in October 2014 as a complete beginner and ended up passing first time! Bill started by teaching me the basic handling of the car, adding extra actions in such as indicators or gear changes when I was ready, or taking them away when necessary. This allowed me to always feel comfortable and confident when driving and not overwhelmed, as it was all at a pace suitable for me. Bill often asked if there was anything I would like him to do differently i...n order to improve my learning, it was clear he liked to give each student a unique experience suited to them! Nearing my test, Bill allowed me to practice in the area I would be taking my test in order to feel at ease on the roads. In order to build confidence for my test, Bill was happy to conduct mocks, these were excellent help and allowed me to feel less nervous and more confident. Bill constantly sought to improve my knowledge of road codes and etiquette and helped me prepare for my theory test and hazard perception, pointing out road signs and upcoming hazards, helping me to spot them on my own.
