'You have to remember to steer', commented my Coles instructor on one of the first lessons I had at this academy. To anyone else this may have seemed a mite patronising. But to me, the girl who had decided to concentrate first on a accelerating and braking, it seemed most appropriate. Especially as I was heading straight into a wall.As driving schools are the types of business you have to trust more than anything, I called up Coles on the recommendation of one of my closest friends. The fact that I've lived to tell the tale is testament to the fact that my instructor was one the most friendly, trustworthy and patient people I've ever come across. Despite insisting that I'd never pass the test if I failed to recognise which car was mine, he helped me gain confidence in driving. At the start of my course I was a little anxious about getting into a car and - well - actually moving. But, as the weeks went on I actually started to look forward to my lessons and the discussions I've have with my tutor. With my firm but fair instructor, lessons were relaxed, comfortable and brilliant value for money. Oh, and this a good time to boast I passed first time?URBAN CHALLENGE: If your instructor tries to teach you the delicate art of road rage, take it with a pinch of salt Read Less

2nd time lucky for me.  Great teaching and a lenient examiner did it.  My teacher at Coles was quite firm and very organised and it really did the trick.  I wasn't 17 and my sponge-like brain had dried up somewhat, but even so a year and a bit later bingo I did it.  I recommend Coles because you get a fair old amount of extra bits and bobs for your money.  I left with a folder full of test trial handouts, rhymes to help you remember and handy tips about holding washing up bowls and whatnot to get your wheel positioning right,Top tip: Don't try and scrimp and spread your lessons out - it's a false economy!
