I can fully endorse the comments made below which is similar to the problems I had with the AA Driving School. I booked a series of ten lessons with them last December on the strength of the AA brand. The first one went well but the female instructor did not respond to text messages when I tried to arrange another. When I contacted the driving school directly, she did eventually respond with a variety of excuses as to why she hadn’t done so previously and a second lesson was then arranged. However, she did not turn up and in a shocking act of dishonesty, claimed that she had done in order to get paid! I complained to the AA about this and after protracted correspondence, I eventually got my money back less the cost of the first lesson and half that of the second lessons which did not take place through no fault of my own. If this is the caliber of people they employ as instructors then I would advise keeping well clear of the AA Driving School. Read Less

They are indeed the worst systers the call centre agents reading of their token script you all kinds of BS about a profesional service , but you soon find out It’s just sales patter once they’ve got your money they could not care less. The instructors are laws on to thnemselves again the AA’s only concern Is that they get their fees. The instructor I had was a right bell end his car stunk of cigrate smoke , he was dressed like a tramp . In the call centre they give you all this speal about being presented with a log book I never got one nor did I get asked for my provisional licence by the instructor. The instructor was a nut case bully his name was William and he covers the EH9 area all he did was talk in a negative demming way through out the lesson and when his bullying didn’t work out he got physically abusive , he was so brazen in his behavior it seemed like a day in day out way of working for him. The money grabbers at the call centre were not interested and could not even gurentee a clean car for the next lesson the CC manager Mrs Osborne was a right nasty jobs worth who just talked a lot of BS and seemed to get off on the fact that I would be potentially charged regardless of whether the next car was in as bad a shape basically they make it up as they go Along prior to that had been messed about by the first lesson. The CEO hides away no doubt the agenda is to take the money and live of an old brand name while acting no better then. Cowboy builders and that’s only the half of it. The AA are not at all worthy of their elated status in British society but then neither are Virgin trains , evidently you just have to grease the right palms to get a little monopoly going. In time I found a better school and normal instructor. Read Less

DO not come to the AA and find a driver instructor as they are all scammers. They find driver instructors who charge you first before the lesson and then turn up to the lesson refusing to do the lesson, charging £58 for no lessons instead of wasting our time. Very rude attitude towards us and the AA does not even help us sort out the situation instead supports the driver instructor who scammed us. Find different driving schools as the AA only will scam your money. ALSO IF YOU BOOK A TEST WITH A DRIVER INSTRUCTOR CALLED SIMON CANCEL IT IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE HE WILL CHARGE YOU AND THEN REFUSE TO TAKE THE LESSON AND FIND SOME EXCUSE TO CHARGE YOU THE HOURS "HE WAS SUPPOSED TO TEACH" Read Less
