John is GREAT. I came to John after having a bad experience with another driving school who wasn't as Awe.som as they thought they were. Anyway he soon corrected the bad habits that i picked up elsewhere and put my nervousness to ease. I did an intensive course, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. What can I say? John is a wonder! Seriously, I am probably the worst sort of person to teach, I am REALLY spacey, erratic, raised in the US so used to being on the other side of the road and generally kind of a ditz. But John took it all in his stride and was an amazing teacher. He knew exactly how to reprimand gently when I needed to focus but still maintain a kind demeanour and friendly relationship. I think this is a gift that not many people possess. It is so easy to rebuke unkindly, and I never had this experience. The best thing of all, of course, is that I passed the first time with just 4 minors! The only reason that I have not written this review sooner is that literally the same day I passed my test, my husband and I found a house and had to move to England a week later so it has been all go at this end.
