Mike has the ability to quickly identify how his students learn and prevent bad habits from forming. Absolutely recommend.
As someone who had never driven a manual car before, I was able to drive around town shortly into the lesson. Mike was a calming presence even when I stalled out nearly entering an intersection.
My foreign license allows me to drive, so even without a UK license I was able to drive at the time. After an hour with Mike I felt confident enough to drive to Wales from Edinburgh and back. I did so without any issues.
He came to pick me up from my flat in city center and dropped me off at the end of the lesson. Great conversationalist with very interesting stories.

Mike is a patient and encouraging instructor. One of my biggest difficulties was confidence in my ability but Mike with his professional yet friendly instruction got me through to pass my test with flying colours. Great instructor and would definitely recommend to others!

Had a really positive experience working with Mike and, with his patience, guidance, and considerable knowledge, was able to pass my driving test at the first attempt. Mike was always reasonable and flexible when it came to arranging lessons around my childcare plans and thoroughly professional in every aspect of his work. I also found him to be really good company in the car and we had some great craic along the way ...Thanks, Mike! :)

Mike is a really fantastic driving instructor. He was kind, patient and tailored lessons to my needs. He really listened to me when I was worried or asked for specific training, and thanks to his teaching I felt confident going into my test! Mike is also full of fun, entertaining facts about Edinburgh, Scotland and most world topics, which made my lessons varied and fun. I would definitely recommend Mike to anyone looking for quality lessons in the Edinburgh area. Thanks, Mike!

Just passed my driving test thanks to mike. He is a really great guy, and very easy to get on with. He really tailors the lessons to you, and you dont feel like he is taking you through drills when you do your lessons. He is also always very patient and kind (even on your worst days!) And always can find the positives of your lesson. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn to drive.

I moved from a different driving school to Mike's so that I could learn with a more encouraging and professional instructor, and that's exactly what I got when learning with Mike. He is very clear and teaches with positivity so even if you have made a mistake he will be kind but informative to help you learn and do better. I highly enjoyed my time with him and got so much out of it and I know that many other future learners would too. In fact, my brother is about to start learning with him too.

Mike is a great driving instructor! I honestly dreaded learning to drive but every lesson was informative, fun and great bit of banter thrown in. I would happily recommend Mike to anyone regardless of your age or ability. I'll genuinely miss our lessons but I'm very glad to have passed.

Mike has the ability to quickly identify how his students learn and prevent bad habits from forming. Absolutely recommend.
As someone who had never driven a manual car before, I was able to drive around town shortly into the lesson. Mike was a calming presence even when I stalled out nearly entering an intersection.
My foreign license allows me to drive, so even without a UK license I was able to drive at the time. After an hour with Mike I felt confident enough to drive to Wales from Edinburgh and back. I did so without any issues.

I moved from a different driving school to Mike's so that I could learn with a more encouraging and professional instructor, and that's exactly what I got when learning with Mike.
