I had Jon as my driving instructor for just a few short months. As a team we managed to pass in 21 hours. He instils confidence in you by being relaxed and firm. At the same time as doing this he chats to you and makes you calm while driving. I was surprised at how easy driving was under his tuition. I passed in 5 days intensive driving with Golden Mile Driving School and passed first time with only 4 minors. Credit where credit is due, Paul Hornby made me feel comfortable behind the wheel, especially driving in a town I am not from and was a fantastic teacher. when I arrived I knew only the basics with only a few hours driving from years ago, I did however have road awareness prior to my course so this helped a lot. if unsure about how many days you should have its all on the website which was very useful or you can email them an you will get a prompt response. all in all a fantastic experience and a life investment I am very proud of. I passed first time today with the help of Zahid. He is an amazing instructor I couldn't have done it without him. He always pushed and encourages me to do more when I didn't think I could do it. Highly recommend Golden Mile. I previously had driving experience with another company, who didn't come close to the professionalism and in depth teaching I've received from Paul who was fantastic . He enabled me to build my confidence back up on the road, focusing on my skills and the things I needed more work on to get me ready for my test. I just never felt like I was progressing. I had Paul as my driving instructor, he really helped me to build up my confidence in the car, he’s so lovely and dead easy to get on with, super chilled out and a really good teacher. I felt like I was finally making good progress throughout my lessons. I booked my test and passed first time. Can’t recommend highly enough. I felt like he didn’t waste any time getting me ready for my test, but did so very thoroughly.
