I was very nervous about driving and had never had any lessons before but Phil is a natural and put me at ease, boosting my confidence instantly. Every lesson is fun and tailor made to suit your needs. Phil is very flexible making it easy to fit in lessons around your work etc. Would definitely recommend High Alert to anybody looking for a reliable and professional driving school. Never thought I would pass but now I am looking to book my Pass Plus.

Naturally nervous person, so learning to drive was a no go for me. Until I met Phil. All round nice guy, puts you at ease every lesson. I passed my test 2nd time but this was due to nerves. Phil is very professional and he easily adapts to your way of learning. I would and will be recommending him to every one I can.
Want to say a huge thanks to Phil on making my driving experience fun, enjoyable and comfortable!

If I could rate Alert any higher than Excellent I definitely would- I had a great experience with Phil learning to drive, passing first time and going on to Pass Plus not long after!

If I could rate Alert any higher than Excellent I definitely would- I had a great experience with Phil learning to drive, passing first time and going on to Pass Plus not long after!
Phil was incredibly flexible, working around my university holidays and weekends to fit lessons in, and I was able to choose to have 3 or 4 hour lessons instead of 1.5 hours if I wasn't down for long to maximise learning- it also taught me how to drive for long periods of time, especially on country roads, which has been really valuable.
I was driving from day one as the theory is built-in, but what matters most is the practice, so your confidence builds quickly. Experience in both country and city environments was encouraged and I was able to completely personalise my lessons to work on problem areas. At the end of each lesson there's an evaluation form that is really useful for you and your instructor to track progress, and it's the kind of detail that makes Alert Driver really stand out.
I'd had a few lessons with other driving instructors but it was definitely Phil's teaching style that made me learn so quickly, and what you get from Alert Driver Training are really well-priced lessons with a patient instructor who tailors the teaching to your needs. If you're looking for lessons please give Alert a try!

High alert was excellent in every aspect of the training, Phil my driving instructor helped me gain confidence in my driving ability and guided me through all of the training. I would highly recommend high alert for anyone that wants to learn how to drive from a brilliant driving school. 5/5 stars.

Over the years I have had several driving instructors and Phil was by far the best of them, he was patient, professional and fun to be around. He taught me to drive using clear and concise instruction...
Over the years I have had several driving instructors and Phil was by far the best of them, he was patient, professional and fun to be around. He taught me to drive using clear and concise instructions and explained everything thoroughly. Driving lessons with Alert Driver Training are good value for money as well.
I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Phil as a driving instructor particularly if you are nervous or apprehensive about driving.
Thanks Phil for helping me to finally pass my test only ten years after I started to learn!
