Karen was my drivIng instructor, i always felt relaxed on my lessons as Karen has a calming influence. I also really wanted a lady driving instructor and this also helped me to feel relaxed. I struggled with some aspects of driving and Karen was always calm and helped me to develop my confidence in all areas of driving.
I would recommend the independent driving school/ Karen because at the end of every lesson we would go through how I had improved and we would set aims for me to complete next lesson, it was a really positive experience and it helped me to build my confidence.

My son learnt to drive with Mike, Was always on time and informative. Not a single glitch from start to finish. Would certainly recommend him.

Both my sons had driving lessons with Mike Moody of the Independent Driving School and passed their driving tests first time. Mike is patient, instructive and instills confidence in new learner behind the wheel. We have no hesitation in recommending Mike's, Independent Driving School and, would like to express our thanks to him for getting our sons through their tests and on to a new chapter in their lives.

I initially was enjoying the lessons, but recently he has been turning up late and today he didn't even turn up I have had 2 hour lessons every week and had one booked today Friday the 22nd at 12:45 h...
I initially was enjoying the lessons, but recently he has been turning up late and today he didn't even turn up I have had 2 hour lessons every week and had one booked today Friday the 22nd at 12:45 he still hadn't turnt up at 13:45 then thinking something could of have happened and as I went out in my car with my mum and saw him driving around with another learner driver and when I had sent him multiple messages and called him he as read the messages and just ignored them, not only that it's the fact that my test is not far away and he has let me down massively as all of the other driving schools are booked so I am really stuck now.
Secondly I also found him rude and that when we had lessons as he use to always point out the negatives and not ever tell me the positives to like build my courage and confident but I know that they have to point out the bad parts but I feel that they should tell you what your good at as well.

Having had bad experiences with 2 previous instructors I was starting to believe I was never cut out to be a driver. I was not a very confident learner anyway and the slightly impatient, and 'down-putting' attitude of these 2 instructors destroyed my confidence even further. I found myself going over the same things, on the same routes and was coming away feeling quite disheartened and that I hadn't made any improvements.
I decided to try again so I gave Mike a call and I'm so glad I did. I finished each lesson feeling I had made progress and I actually started to look forward to the next one. He is very patient and encouraging, pushing me to progress but not pushing too hard. Whenever I made a mistake ('a learning opportunity' as he called them) I was never made to feel silly about it like I used to feel with my previous instructors.
He is also very reliable, always on time and I always got the full hours driving (and often a bit extra). I finally passed my driving test 1st time and can honestly say it was all thanks to Mike's help.
Overall my experience with Mike at Independent Driving School cannot be faulted. Patient and reliable and I would recommend him to anyone.

Karen was my drivIng instructor, i always felt relaxed on my lessons as Karen has a calming influence. I also really wanted a lady driving instructor and this also helped me to feel relaxed.
