I last took and failed my driving test 37 years ago. I was nervous, lacked confidence and decided at that point, that I was unlikely to ever be a car driver. However earlier this year, due to a change in family circumstances, I had to reconsider this and approached John for lessons. After a summer of John's patient tuition, guidance and good humour (though eye-watering jokes!), I passed my test 'first' time! His approach is thorough - enabling you to not only pass the test, but also training you to become a thoughtful and competent driver, instilling good practice and teaching you to think. His memory aids and catchphrases have been, and continue to be, really helpful in these early days of driving - with phrases like 'kiss the parrot' in your head, who could ever fail to check their blind spot! His informal approach helped me to chill - and he gave me the encouragement and confidence I needed to succeed. I passed my test today and couldn't be happier with the way John has taught me to drive. He is a great guy and I always felt at ease when driving. I recently passed my driving test at the first attempt, and I can't thank John enough for all of the guidance, advice and support he provided throughout my lessons with him. Always accommodating and patient, John made me feel extremely prepared and confident for my practical test, which ultimately paid dividends.
