Direct School Of Motoring has been serving the Enfield Community since 1981.
The school is owned and run by Steve Knox, a grade 6 ADI driving instructor.Grade 6 is only awarded to the top few per cent of all driving instructors and represents a very high standard of instruction. See below.
We are an independent driving school, with thousands of satisfied and successful clients.
in today´s economic climate we understand that looking for the cheapest price for tuition is a fact of life.
What we offer is good value lessons in a modern air conditioned,fully dual controlled vehicle,with no gimmicks just to tempt you in.

Steve is a grade A* instructor. Having had a few instructors before going to him, I can confidently say he is the best out there( I regret not finding him earlier) his patient, laid back approach really suited me. He goes by the book and teaches you driving for life and not just to pass your test as some others do. I passed 1st time and have since recommended him to friends and family. Thanks Steve!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve is an incredibly friendly and patient instructor. His flexible style of teaching allowed me to focus on particular skills and manoeuvres. When I was having difficulty with manoeuvres, Steve used resources such as his iPad, as well as his own experiences, to support my understanding. He enabled me to complete as many mock tests as I felt I needed, which I found very helpful. His excellent tuition allowed me to pass my practical test first time. I also completed the Pass Plus course with Steve and was again impressed by the quality of tuition. I have recommended Steve to my family and friends.

Steve is an excellent driving instructor, he is generally a nice person to be around and he made me feel confient about my driving as he helped me pass my driving test first time! Thanks a lot steve!!

Steve is a very patient and friendly driving instructor. My lessons were laidback so that I was always at ease, and Steve made sure I practised every manoeuvre, turn and roundabout successfully until I was confident for my test. I have just recently passed my practical driving test and am looking forward to driving with my P plates! I would strongly recommend Steve Knox as a driving instructor.

Steve is a grade A* instructor. Having had a few instructors before going to him, I can confidently say he is the best out there( I regret not finding him earlier) his patient, laid back approach really suited me.
