Honestly, the thought of learning how to drive was a very scary but necessary step for me. In order for me to properly understand and be comfortable with learning something new, I have to repeat the process over and over again. I needed to find an instructor who would be patient and empathetic enough to deal with my nerves and my need to repeat every process - even if I had mastered it. � After a few lessons with Heidi, I knew I had found the perfect instructor. OK so i didn't end up doing my test with instructor which couldn't be helped but i can't recommend edwina enough. I had teeth problems so had to do a test on a certain day. However I did pass first time and compared to other new drivers definitely know I was taught well. I only had 3 minors, so i know edwina taught me well. Edwina is very professional, patient, informed and an overall great teacher. I did my research before hand and glad I did. Don't hesitate to book as she's always in demand because she's really good. I and my three sisters have all learnt to drive with lanes and have all had such a positive experience. I had a great relationship with my instructor, the lessons were made calm and relaxing, and everything was explained so well. When I started learning to drive I never thought i would get the hang of it but Lanes made things easy from the start, I couldn't recommend them highly enough - thanks guys! X :) Read Less

Instructor Bisi was late for every lesson, cancelled lessons at short notice and "forgot" what was booked. Her approach to feedback was to mutter under her breath, make sarcastic comments and personal insults, and complain about the length of the lessons. A terrible experience. If I could post with zero stars I would. She should be sacked. Read Less

I would highly recommend Lanes and my instructor Heidi. I had a few lessons with a different driving school but lanes had to be the perfect one to pick.....Heidi was amazing from day 1 she made me laugh & she understood my nerves and was brilliant at building more of my confidence. I'm currently having lessons with Lanes, and am very satisfied - the lesson rates are extremely reasonable, they pick you up from your front door and drop you off/let you drive back (depending on how far you've got!) so there's no need to travel, and my instructor is patient, not too passive (i.e. he'll tell me when something's wrong, but won't get worked up about it!) and has a good sense of humour.
