Honour from automatics4u was the best instructor I could have asked for. I never thought I would pass before I had lessons with Honour who put me at so much ease, and has the patience of a saint! Very mixed review here. The instructor was good during the first lesson. She was constructive, focused and engaging. On the second lesson, I asked to take my 17 year old son with me. He was bored at home and, as English is my second language, thought he could be useful at translating a few technical terms for me. My English is at a good conversation level, but some terminology I am not familiar with. The instructor completely flipped, she was very rude, dismissive and aggressive. She told us that she will not provide a "translator service" and that I should have told her that I could not understand her lessons at the start (which is incorrect). She would not look at me during the conversation, and spoke "at" my son only. She would not listen to any explanations, was extremely rude, and made me and my son feel terrible. When I suggested leaving my son at home, this was not an option for her either, for some reason. She said she will not teach me anymore, as she was not happy with a translator sitting in the back... Even though we explained that he was not needed and this was meant to be a one-time optional social event, which might have given me some bonus benefit. We were shocked, annoyed and made feel awful. I would never recommend a person like this as a teacher, as teachers should be flexible and support their students. Nor would I recommend her business. This was terrible customer service! Completely irrational, rude and inflexible. In any role involving other people a degree of being able to handle the unexpected and at least remain calm and communicate in a mature way is essential, but not what we experienced. Great big thanks to Honor for everything. She has been great during every single lesson and has managed to turn me from someone who never thought I would be able to drive into a driver. Wanted to say big thank you to Honour for all her patients and understanding. Passed second time round today with just two minors ( one before I got In the car lol) Have to say was put at ease each time I got in the car, at the age off 33 was really hesitant and nervous but was made to feel confident and comfortable very quickly. Had my lessons with Sarah who has been excellent! She has a sense of humour and could put up with my constant nonsense. She kept me calm and explained all my mistakes and helped me fix them and learn from them. The car she uses is a nice wee high spec car, making driving a pleasure. She is a trustworthy instructor who I can easily recommend. We set a target and I passed my test first time, all thanks to her help and guidance. Read Less

After starting lessons with Sarah in mid-October, she had me Test ready by January, even though I had never got behind the wheel of a car previous to this. From Walker to Driver in less than 4 months is a time table I can be happy with!! However, due to my own error I failed my first test. With only a couple of extra lessons Sarah had pointed out where I had went wrong, worked with me on those problems and I sailed through my re-sit. Incredibly disappointed...having almost done ten hours which cost me a fortune, not a single manoeuvre was practised,at the beginning of every lesson I thought we would try a new route or at least practise one manoeuvre but no!! Had to take time off work to accommodate around Sarah's hours as there was "nae chance of her working evenings or weekends". Moved my test back twice as per her recommendations, then my second to last lesson with Sarah she turns around and says she a...ctually may not let me use her car for the exam if she didnt think I was ready, even though she gave me the go ahead for my test date and was well aware of when it was yet every lesson we drove around the same route. Total waste of money and time! Ended up having to put my test back yet again until I found another instructor, which I thankfully did!! Not one to sit and write reviews but feel so let down!
