Dave and the team were absolutely brilliant and it's because of them that I passed first time. What struck me more than anything else was the superb degree of professionalism and up-most respect Dave, who was the my instructor, had for me. It's because of this very respect and positive 'can-do' approach to his tuition which boosted my confidence on the road. I was previously taught by a local instructor who offered considerably cheaper price, however after a large number of lessons with that instructor, I did not see myself as making any progress or indeed working towards an objective of passing my test. It was that instructor's lacking of Dave Williams' exemplar qualities of professionalism which also put me off continuing with them. Dave's outstanding use of resources such as a reflection and target setting booklet to keep track of things quickly put things right for me and I honestly think it was definitely 100% money well spent. I would thoroughly recommend Dave as an instructor for anyone wanting to pass first time and do so, as a driver and not just a pupil of a driving school. I undertook the intensive course over 4 days and was thoroughly impressed by the teaching I received that made me feel reassured, confident in my ability and comfortable driving. Absolutely over the moon to have passed my driving test today with Steve. I only met Steve last night to review whether I was competent to take my test today as my diving instructor has let me down. Williams went above and beyond to find me an instructor and Steve did the same moving lessons around and helping me prepare for my test! Trusting my driving wasn't goin to right his car off. He took a chance and helped someone in need and I can't thank him or Williams enough without there help I wouldn't of passed today. Driving company's and instructors don't usually take on learners just before there test one because they don't know how well your driving is and two because they want as much money if you as possible, Steve is far from one of them. My two brothers and I have all passed first time with Williams driving school. Ive always known them for being the best driving school in Torbay and was not disappointed when I started to learn with my instructor, Richard Butterworth. Richard was extremely friendly and helpful and I felt confident throughout the whole process because of him. I couldn't recommend Williams driving school anymore especially Richard Butterworth. I struggled with clutch control with my previous instructor and switched to Williams driving school and never regretted it! I was most worried about attempting new manoeuvres but my instructor gave clear instructions and took you through them step by step He was called Dave and he was brilliant instructor, made you feel comfortable and more confident behind the wheel The Williams driving schools services stood out, receiving emails and texts to remind you of future lessons, the tick sheet that would allow you to know what you've done in a lesson and what you will be doing in future lessons. also the theory test help was fantastic in giving you the knowledge to pass your theory. Every week I looked forward to my driving lesson with Dave, he always put me at ease and I felt very comfortable with him. I felt like Dave pushed me at the right pace and I learnt very quickly. Coming up towards my test he made sure I was confident with everything and went over certain points that I was unsure of. Now I have passed my driving test, I shall miss my Tuesday lessons, but will always see Dave out and about driving.
