MSM I sat my test about 3 weeks ago with mark. I was very nervous the first time I got into the car, he went through the different buttons in the car and what they done and also went through the gears before setting off. I felt sick as anything thinking I was being let loose in the driver’s seat of a car for the first time. He took me on the back roads were there wasn’t many people and cars and went through about pulling over and letting people passed. The first question I asked was how much is it going to coast to fix if I crash :S. Mark believed in me everything that I done and if I was to do something wrong he would go over and over it until I was doing it write. If I was to say to him that I wasn’t able to do something like giving up on a left hand reverse half way through he would talk through it until I knew what to do as he said “I don’t do negativity”. He wouldn’t get annoyed if I done something wrong like scuff his alloys up or mounted the kerp (SPRRY)! Or would have to go over things more than 3 times (Morrison’s crossing :@) He would just make me go over the manuver again. I passed my theory first time (49/50) HP:(70/75) this was because as I was driving around Carlisle mark would ask me what does certain signs mean and different theory questions. Mark is a friendly and confident instructor and it makes you feel comfortable knowing that the instructor knows what they are doing and what they are teaching you. Mark always made sure I was ready for my test and when I wasn’t I moved it to a different date. If it wasn’t for mark I would of never got in a driver’s seat and be driving on the roads now. I also done my pass plus with Mark which helped me be more confident on the dual carriage roads and motorways and going down off the slip road I would never of attempted it if I wasn’t for Mark :D. He helped me mostly with the positioning of the car on the roads (1,2,3) and also keeping my speed to the limit which I though was the hardest thing when driving. He helped me know what to look out for on back road (black ice though my life was over going across it 20mph and brakes not working good job car was dual controlled) I could thank Mark enough for getting me through my driving because without him I would of NEVER done it. A************ instructor (Friendly, Social able) Thankyou Ailsa :D Read Less

I came to Mark at MSM for Part 3 training having already passed my Parts 1 & 2 with another well known training body. I was immediately impressed with Marks professional attitude and approach. My weekly sessions with Mark, whilst always enjoyable were hard work, but I always went away knowing that I had learnt a lot. Marks enthusiasm for passing on his knowledge is not only infectious but is also the main ingredient of his training that makes him in my opinion the leading Instructor Trainer in Cumbria. Without Marks expertise I do not think I would have passed my Part 3 test first time. I will also take this opportunity to say thank you to Mark for getting me through. Alix Read Less
