Couldn’t recommend Paul enough.
I had never needed to drive until now (28 years in) and work required I do so. I was very nervous and in general suffered from some anxiety when even thinking about driving. However, Paul started the lessons slowly and at a pace which did not overwhelm.
He will make sure that each lesson you do something new and that tests your skill level and boosts your confidence. The lesson structures are informal and relaxed. The way Paul teaches enables you to learn at your own pace and in a stress free environment (whilst having a good rant at how shockingly some drivers treat learners).
I think the key lesson for me was to be safe and expect danger (rather than expect nothing to happen). I passed first time with 1 minor. Still a little nervous on the roads, but wouldn’t have gotten here without the help from Paul. Well worth it. Cheers for your help Paul!

Great, Patient, down to earth instructor
I had previously failed my test in St. Helens 3 times back in 2014, with a knock in confidence and financial situation didn't continue, I recently got back into it and got onto Paul, the best thing I did!! As He got my right back to test standard, got my confidence back up and most improtantly, got me passed safe and sound. Would highly recommend to any family or friends. Good Luck Paul,

I joined paul as a returning learner a couple of years ago and quickly realised that the way my previous instructor was teaching me was very below average. Paul is patient and understands that learning to drive is very stressful to the student. He keeps a relaxed environment and introduced me to very useful calming techniques. Also his methods of teaching are second to none and are adapted to every individual. Past 1st time on my birthday with 3 minors. Best present I could have asked for. Highly recommended.

After just passing my test (1st time - 2 minors), I can confidently say that Paul is the best Driving Instructor I've ever used. His teaching methods were excellent and really helped me understand not only how to pass my test, but also how that carries over into the real world. I'd recommend Paul for both new and returning drivers alike - he is patient, understanding and a great teacher. Top class.

Today to advise you, you were teaching a Incorrect move at the bottom of grey stone road. The middle of the main road has two sides marked out and you were in the wrong lane. You proceeded to give me the v's. Poor example to your student.

I had never needed to drive until now (28 years in) and work required I do so. I was very nervous and in general suffered from some anxiety when even thinking about driving. However, Paul started the lessons slowly and at a pace which did not overwhelm.
