I'm not a pupil, but this is based on experience I've had in a road encounter with Steve's driving school. I drive a fair bit and as the son of a Police Class 1 driver, and an IAM member for over 30 years, I do see a lot of driving that I can pass comment on. Not always good. I've seen a lot of driving schools that I would consider to have bad practice, but I was refreshed to see the response from a potentially dangerous - at least a good chance of a collision - incident yest...erday. I'm not sure if it was the dual controls or instruction, but the stop that was executed as an unobservant driver pulled out in front of Steve's car avoided a scrape or even a low speed head on collision. Good practice and observation. An instructor should be observing all the time as if they are driving, as WELL as giving instruction. Can you honestly do that if you are considering teaching someone as a private driver? After having a not so great instructor before hand I started driving with Steve, roughly 2 months later and I'm passed! Steve is a brilliant teacher, he's down to earth which makes you feel so relaxed and he will teach you exactly what you need to know- , no messing around or wrong info!
