I have not attended the driving school, however upon calling to enquire the gentleman ,if you can call him that, was very abrupt and rude, speaking over me. His date for classes did not work for me and I asked him if he had any places he'd recommend and he said I should use my fingers and type in the search bar of Google, incredibly condescending. He spoke very fast and did not allow me a moment to ask any questions. I tried to ask what sort of preparation I'd need to attend his classes for learners and he laughed and was just rude. Overall a bad experience. If you want to be too scared to fail your learners or drivers you should contact him. I'm sure he churns out plenty of skittish drivers. Read Less

I take my hat off to Chris. Who was highly professional and produced a quality service. A few lessons with Chris made all the difference, I had jumped from instructor to instructor, and have never encountered an instructor with better communicating skills and will power for his learners to succeed. On the facade his lessons are pricy, however they worth every penny. A few lessons with Chris and you will be on your way to obtaining that drivers licence. Just from dealing with Chris on the phone, I'll use anybody but him for my driving lessons. He's combative, doesn't give one a chance to finish a sentence, assumes you're going to say all sorts of things you were never going to say but reacts and responds as if you'd said them anyway. And then when you try and explain that he's got it wrong, he then gets aggressively defensive. I can't imagine sitting next to him trying to learn to pass my driver's test! Read Less

The most discouraging experience I have ever had. I had lessons with Chris, the owner of SSDA, and even though the first two lessons we had together were fine I found that the final two were very combative as he constantly nit-picked every word I said, compared me to the "many students he had who had passed before me," and even went as far to tell another student how much better they were at parallel parking, in front of me. I've never been made to feel so small in my life. ... I actually had anxiety before our final lesson, anticipating that every step of the way I would be faced with a demeaning comment, an eye-roll or heavy sigh in disappointment with each word said or move made. Within 10 minutes of the lesson, I broke down in tears as he chose to highlight how differently I drive and learn than his other students, question each word and move in a degrading tone, and refused to listen to my point of view as I tried explain why I was upset. I couldn't go on, and walked home. Even though Chris felt he had exceptional service, he was late for every lesson, demanded additional money for the driving yard without warning (on top of the high price of the lesson package), and refused to refund me for our final lesson while pointing out how "appalling" my skills were and how disrespectful I was.
