Sue, who runs Abacus, is a great driving instructor. I was referred to her for lessons because she shepherded 4 people I knew into passing their driving test first time, which is rare enough these days. Not only is she knowledgeable but she's also really good at explaining the why as well as the how, so that it becomes much easier to understand the car and how to drive it properly. She has a very calm demeanor and has practically reached a level of zen when it comes to being in a car with inexperienced drivers, but she will push you when you need to be pushed. She has a systematic approach to teaching which means you don't just get taught things to pass your test but also things that will make you a better, safer driver like parallel parking and how to drive in snow and fog. And all of this comes with an amicable approach and a sense of humour. In practical terms she charges 40 euro per hour which is comparable with most other driving schools, but what is much different, and much better value, is that she almost never sticks to the hour and so you will get a longer, more in depth lesson than you would get anywhere else for the same money. Her lessons are good for both teenagers and adults (like me) who avoided it for a while and have finally got around to it. Read Less
