Excellent driving school, the teacher is well experienced and has been teaching for over 20 years. Very flexible with driving lessons and well informative with in-class sessions also. Truly made sitting in the driver's seat comfortable and stress-free. On top of that, the teacher made sure I learned everything I needed to know to be a well informed driver and pass my G2. Many driving schools are filled with uncomfortable road lessons and unreliable teachers, but I'll gladly give the credit to Pioneer Driving School for really ensuring I was ready to be a responsible driver. Terrible school, will cancel classes with you at last second and if you're late by 3 minutes they will charge you $50 for a "cancelled lesson". They also have "expired courses". What...?! My instructor Riku booked my road test without confirming with me. He claims that he left me a voicemail, which I never received. When I called him to ask about booking my road test he informed me that he had already booked by road test and assumed that since I did not call him back I was able to take the G2 test. As a result, I have to pay again for this test because I was unaware that he had scheduled it. He did not admit that this was his fault. Read Less

I used Pioneer back in 2009 when I got my G2....and in May 2014 when it almost expired! Both times I passed, with no small effort from Tony. I've used Young Drivers and CAA but I found both way too "uptight". Tony is much more relaxed, teaches you the rules but doesn't feel condescending. This man legitimately wants you to pass. He was also much more affordable than the other guys, which makes sense given his car is older/running is own operation. Lessons were easy to book, didn't have problems doing weekends or after work on weekdays. I seriously can't recommend the guy enough, I referred three of my friends and all  passed on their first try. They echoed my comments on how he was just more chill, which made them more relaxed during the test. If you need someone who is more structured and "military" style (which some people do legit need), this is not your place. If you just want to learn the ropes from a guy who's seen it all, use Tony.
