The driving instructor is a nice guy but will mark any stupid little thing! Strongly recommend NOT going to Renfrew for your drive tests. talks way to fast for you to even understand what it was you did wrong and just seems like he likes failing everyone. TERRIBLE!!! I HIGHLY recommend that you do your test in Pembroke or Ottawa. The main receptionist "Doris" is extremely unprofessional, baligerant, sarcastic and demeaning! I recieved an email cancelling my drive test appointment 2 hours before my test after having a family friend in his 70's headed to the drive test centre to allow me to use his van for my test. No way to contact him to cancel. Waste of his time and gas! Not to mention mine as I drove from Ottawa 1.5 hrs away! And lost a days wages from work roughly $350 "Doris" RUDELY informed me that none of this was her problem and these things happen, they're drive test examiner was sick and went to the hospital and continued to question if I've ever been sick and had to leave work. I informed her if i leave work i ensure my shift is covered and see a doctor off work hours unless leaving by ambulance. The examiner's personal information isn't my concern or issue or business! Drive Test Center's have an obligation to their customers to give REASONABLE NOTICE of cancellations! And their staff have an obligation to remain professional in all situations and with all clients. After her demeaning and ignorant rant regarding my personal life i told her to have a good F-ing day and began to leave. Instead of remaining professional this ignorant being ("Doris") told me not to come back she won't be extending my license or rescheduling my road test that they would just fail me anyways. This woman "Doris" has worked there as long as I can remember. When i did my G2 test, there was a snow storm and my test wasn't cancelled but the road test examiner had left. There was however another examiner on site that did my test... In a snow storm n had me try to parallel park in a snow bank as the roads were a foot deep in snow. I called drive test 1888 number. Made a formal complaint and am now waiting on a call back from a supervisor. It has also been brought to my attention that i may have to start over with a G1 again. Because my license was extended and now expired. Also the renfrew location is the only location that can extend my license or rebook my test however this "Doris", told me not to come back she wont be doing anything for me. Which she legally can't refuse. If this matter isn't resolved quickly I'll be contacting CTV News regarding the story. Read Less

They cancelled our road test 1 hour before test time .I lost a days wages so did my mom . No 24 hour notice that is required of us . Woman Doris was extremely rude refused to extend my license which I rely on to get to and from work .She aslo told me not to come back as she would not rebook my test . This place is very unprofessional .rude ignorant and needs younger people working there instead of these old women with a chip on their shoulder taking it out on youth . I can not give a bad enough review about this disgusting situation I was forced to deal with today . Read Less

This place gets a bad rap - but if you show up prepared you won't have any issues. Did my g1 and g2 here and my friend did his g1 today. All 3 times no issues. The staff was polite - the examiner was fair.Read Less

So I read all these reviews this morning and my husband went to get his road test done. and guess what you are all right... my husband has had license before and driven for many years. So I believe you all when you say these bad reviews because here I am giving the exact same one!!! maybe the people whom are working here should see how many this man is failing clients ....... And I had to put the one star because it wouldn't let me post with none..... it deserves none oh and might I add. had to drive from Ottawa to there and wasted time and money...... Read Less
