Young Drivers of Canada is Canada’s largest driver training organization. Since 1970, YD has grown to 140+ classrooms and we continue to love what we do. YD has taught over 1 million novice drivers through our proprietary Young Drivers Collision free! Approach to Driving™ Program. YD is not just about novice drivers though. We also offer driver improvement, retesting, fleet driver training & Elearning. Our Ottawa franchise has 5 classroom locations providing driver training courses from Orleans to Kanata. Our novice driver training course is designed for first time drivers. We also offer programs for licensed drivers seeking to improve their driving skills and become collision free drivers.

They just want your money and they hard to schedule for In class lessons, and when they do it’s spread out so your next driving lessons you suck and they suggest you pay for more lessons. For the amount you already pay you should be able to feel comfiedent enough with the lessons you receive. I am very mad and would not recommend this driving place.

I had such a great experience! Throughout the lessons my instructor, Russell Pike, quickly corrected all my mistakes and always made sure I understood what I was doing. He also was very flexible with my schedule. My schedular often changes and he was very willing to come an hour earlier or later or reschedule it some other time. It was very much appreciated! I also got along very well with his sense of humour and teaching methods (drawing pictures or using the toy card). Today I passed my G2 with flying colours! Instructor Aaron Wainwright took me to the test. He was very friendly and always had a smile on his face! I was feeling very anxious and he help me calm my nerves. All in all, I highly recommend YD Ottawa!

I wish I had signed up somewhere else, but I got sucked in by the brand. While my son's friends have an easy time reaching their driving instructors and booking lessons, he is expected to wait over two months for an in-car lesson and has been offered a very inconvenient schedule with no flexibility because no instructors are available. I guess it doesn't matter to YD - they have had my money since last spring, why should they care about providing service. A horrible experience! YD, it is irresponsible to keep signing people up for your over-priced program when you can't handle the volume. People, pick another driving school!

Young Drivers can not deliver driving lessons in a timely way. When you want to book your in-car lessons, there is a 2 to 3 month wait. Ridiculous! Especially given the premium price that they charge....

Especially given the premium price that they charge. There are plenty of other driving schools that actually make it easy to get on the road and do not coast on their reputation while delivering terrible customer service.

I just finished the program at this school. My theoretical classes and the driving lessons themselves were both led by the same instructor - Clifford Rowe. If I had to rate this guy on a scale of 10, I would still give him 100!!! He was amazing, absolutely amazing! During my driving lessons he was always so professional, patient, explained things extremely well repeatedly. I don't consider myself very gifted for driving, but honestly, with him as an instructor, anyone can learn. He is fair, yet builds your confidence. He reacts quickly, when he corrects you, he does it in the best possible way. I hope the YD Ottawa school knows his true value and how lucky they are to him on staff! I , for sure, was very lucky to be taught by him.

Amazing experience, I went back to Young Drivers to do a practice lesson before my G test and the instructor was great! He was very calm and encouraging, pointing out tips for the test, things I did well, and areas to improve before I took the test. Right before the test he was very reassuring and calm and ensured all of my questions about the test were answered. I passed my G and am very thankful for the support from my Young Drivers instructor. Overall a great experience!

The instructors were very helpful, the videos and inclass work were important and current but the emails Ive receiced regarding a few concerns had a negative undertone and the call I made to YD was mostly filled with me fighting with the woman on the phone because she suggested that due to my age I wasn't able to speak upon the package my father had purchased for me. All in all, great instruction, work on the customer service.

I have nothing but incredible things to say about Young Drivers! I was looking to get my G license after having my G2 for a few years, and Young Drivers was so helpful from the time I called to set up some lessons to the time I did my road test! I had Aaron as my instructor in Ottawa. He was such a great teacher, and really spent lots of time with me going over things that I was particularly nervous about (such as highway/freeway driving). Aaron and the rest of the team at Young Drivers were consistently patient, supportive and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone! :) I'm so much more confident in my driving skills and very glad to have finally gotten my G license - thank you Aaron and YD!

I had a great experience learning to drive with YD. I enjoyed their program, and think the price reflects the quality. I was told by police officers that this is the BEST school to go with if you want to get a good foundation and learn the right driving habits. Shout out to Matt Haddad for helping me along the way to getting my G2! I was such a nervous driver I thought I would never get to this point, but here I am. Would highly recommend to every new driver or anyone needing to brush up on skills.

Young drivers is a great way to get into driving without much of a risk. Young drivers also provides an opportunity to simulate G2 test driving which is great for those who don't know what it's like.

They just want your money and they hard to schedule for In class lessons, and when they do it’s spread out so your next driving lessons you suck and they suggest you pay for more lessons. For the amount you already pay you should be able to feel comfiedent enough with the lessons you receive. I am very mad and would not recommend this driving place.

Amazing experience, I went back to Young Drivers to do a practice lesson before my G test and the instructor was great!
