Carmel is an incredible instructor. He's professional, responsible, and knowledgeable. He teaches you exactly what you need to know to be a safe driver and to pass the test. I passed the G test with ease all thanks to him. I was extremely nervous and did not drive on highway prior to this, but after 2 lessons with him, I successfully passed the test even in extreme weather condition (it was a snow-squall day). As someone who rarely drives, gets nervous during tests, and is affected by negative feedback, I needed a really understanding and patient instructor to help me get from G2 to G. With Carmel's help, I got my G licence on my first try - which, for me, is nothing short of a miracle given that I've failed the G2 exam before. Carmel communicates very well and answers questions with encouragement and patience (even when I felt like some of my questions were silly). This was different from my experiences with previous driving instructors (from other driving schools) who would wave away my questions impatiently as though they would be solved magically once I take enough lessons and drive long enough. Carmel also shared with me exam/general driving tips and strategies that my past instructors did not share or could not explain clearly to me. Though Carmel's explanations, I can tell that he thinks through the way he develops his curriculum, ensuring that his teaching is organized, effective, and understood properly by students. Check out his iPass website for driving/parking tips that are explained clearly with visuals. He also offers mock in-car driving tests to help students anticipate any anxiety and criticisms that they might encounter during the actual driving test. Beyond his teaching, Carmel is a very responsible, professional, and kind person. Even though he knew that I had not driven for a long time prior to taking his lessons, he did not take advantage of my willingness to take extra lessons. Honestly, this is the best driving TEACHING experience I ever had; I had two other driving schools in London about 10 lessons each; those school's instructors were there to witness my driving NOT teaching. I actually learned how to drive CORRECTLY, not just drive without any guidance. I could see that the owner of this school, he is trying to be as responsible as it can even risking some loss of money(lesson time) to teach his students proper driving (I learned from the owner of the school; I am not so sure other instructors might be as great teacher as the owner, might be or might not be). With two prior school's teaching, I failed my g2 test by horrible mark. With this school, my drive examiner even commented said at the end, "You really know what you are doing while you drive." The instructor for this course is very informative, I recommend this driving school if you want to pass your course. IPASS!! The feeling you get once you pass your driving test. The wedsite the director of IPASS designed is easy to go through, making your worries go away. Taking your test time into account unlike other companies, great for last minute lessons to pass your g2. Cheaper then failing and having to retake your whole license. I went to IPass driving school for their road test packages for G2 and G. With Carmel as my instructor, I was able to pass both tests on the first try. My experience with iPass was excellent. The in class portion of things was informative and well prepared. The learning materials are excellent and far superior to what I've seen from other schools. I started my in car training with Richard but finished with Carmel. I really feel like I learned more during the last few sessions than the earlier ones.
