Worst experience ever...if u have time all day long and has nothing to do in your life time, then visit this center. I hate the way they eat our brains and time and have no skills except to blame the systems that they were down. It took 30 mins to process from taking the ticket, 10 minutes to give g1, more than an hour to get the name called again to sign the paper and go home. From the moment you walk into this place it is confusing as to what steps should be taken. 2 out of the 3 kiosks were out of order, signs everywhere and no clear place to start. Although the ladies were very pleasant more training is required. The sign says to allow 1 hour to take a written test and processing. I was there for 1 hour and 40 minutes on a "slow" day as described by the woman who initially looked after me. There needs to be a complete overhaul of the systems that are currently in place. Very outdated. The place was not very clean overall and the men's washroom was disgusting. Very dirty, paint pealing from the walls, sink was draining very slowly from the person before me. could not wash my hands. Looks like the last time it was cleaned had to be several months ago. overall I would rate this location and my experience as a 2 out of 10. Read Less

Yesterday I posted on my Facebook status I was feeling nervous.... I was nervous for my son, a boy who had worked so hard to get the freedom of being able to drive a car and what a milestone that is for a kid. I was nervous because despite being a competent and confident young driver, I worried his nerves might get the best of him and he'd make a mistake. I was nervous because I knew he'd practised hard to learn this skill, I worried he'd actually earn his right to drive freely and that's just a scary concept for moms everywhere. BUT... I never thought to be nervous about him not being given a chance to show off all his hard work. I never thought he'd be denied the opportunity because his right front blinker wasn't "bright" enough. What does that even mean? It worked... turned on and flashed when we tested it then turned off when we tested that too and still does. The car passed a safety check with a certified mechanic not too long ago with that blinker as it is. I never thought booking a driving test right before lunch may cause him trouble, perhaps his tester was hungry and needed an earlier lunch. I never thought human kindness and compassion or the lack of it would impact this, I only thought competence and responsibility would. So, he will book another test, try again and hopefully this time my son will be tested on his skills and knowledge of cars and the road not on a human being's feelings or lack there of. Read Less

I have a mixed experience here. When I went to get my G1 last year, there were so many people that they closed and I had to actually come back the next day to wait in line again. That was pretty disappointing, especially considering that the huge lineup was due to only half the counters being staffed. I went for my G2 road test recently, and I was pleasantly surprised! The person taking my test came to the car right on time. After the test was over, I went inside to get my paper temporary license, and was out in just under 10 minutes. Also, the employee who issued the new license changed the address from her computer rather than me having to have to go to Service Ontario, so I really appreciate that. Maybe they improved in the last year, or maybe because I had booked a time slot it was more efficient, I really don't know. But I would suggest people to go early in the morning for their G1 computer exam so that they can be one of the first people in line. Read Less

I would prefer to sit in a crowded emergency room than this place! Only 1 wicket was open and the place was packed with standing room only. There is no excuse for this kind of glacial service. After being there for hours bored out of my mind I couldn't help notice the outdated computer equipment and the 1970s era eye test stations. A complete overhaul of this office is urgently needed and hire more staff!!! Read Less

I've come from California and this place makes DMV almost seem better. Drive Test does provide some seating for about 2/3 of the people waiting, and there was a clean women's washroom with changing table. The people working the desks are generally friendly and helpful. Also take note of who is ahead of you in line if you need to take a number. We realized that despite there being multiple lists of numbers, A's b's etc, they are calling you up to a desk in order of who was first in the queue. So the a, b, c numbers just obfuscate where you are in line. Negative: when the wait to be seen is longer than the end of their day, they shut down the number giving machine. But they do this by placing a piece of paper over a working machine that says "out of service". They don't put a note saying "hey, the wait is too longer for today, try again earlier on another day". So instead I spent time waiting in the drive test appointments line because I just thought the machines weren't working. Silly me. Next time we showed up 10 minutes before they opened at 8:30 and were seen by 11:15am. Bring snacks, coffee and entertainment when you go. Read Less

Got there at 1pm. 2 people at the desks. There are 7 desks in total only two people working. I left and came back an hour later with the ticket from 1pm and spoke with another person who had been there since 10am. It was now 2:15 he was just now getting close to going up. 4:15 wait and they close at 5. They didn't say anything, they didn't even know how long their wait times actually we're... As others have said, the office is completely disorganized, dirty - no soap in the woman's washroom and the men's washroom with a door that wouldn't close properly. Took 6 hours to write a G1. I had no idea I would be taking the entire day off work to simply write a 10 min test. Go first thing in the morning or else you won't be served. I asked if our wait time was normal and was told yes. Google should really make it possible for people to make negative ratings. This place does not deserve any positive rating at all. The staff there are just non-sense. I and other some 10 folks waited there for more than 20 minutes starting from around 4 pm. Nobody ever showed up in the reception desk. As the first guy in the line, I approached one of the kiosk people why nobody showed up. The woman told me that they have stopped receiving new customers for the day. Awful experience. For some strange reason they close at 5 and have exactly one location within what could be called a reasonable drive. It's bananas. They had line up's out the door, all kiosks were out of order except one, only 2 wickets seemed to be open and the line barely moved after an hour. I had to take an entire day off work instead of just a lunch break. Open another location or extend your hours people. They do not reliably update their "now serving" screen at all. Apparently 5 different people are getting served at the same wicket. There is no way these people aren't aware of how poorly this place is run. Get your act together DriveTest. The only reason this place exists is because of government monopoly.  Service is terrible.  Attitude is terrible.  Be prepared for an incredibly long wait.  Be prepared for the staff to use any random excuse to kick you out of your pre-booked slot. Read Less
