Don't use this company if you actually want them to show up...
On January 16, 2023 I hired, and paid for, Continental Driving School to complete a one-hour pre-G driving lesson and use of their vehicle for the road test. The appointment was for February 1 and they were to be at my house at 1pm. On Feb 1, I sent my son out prior to 1pm to await their arrival; when he came in the house at 1:30, I inquired what was happening and he advised they hadn't shown up; I immediately called the company to find out what was going on and determine next steps as he needed the vehicle for the drive test (I was in a meeting and had to log out to figure out what was going on). A while later, I was told that if we could get to the drive centre, they would have somebody there to meet him to use the vehicle and they'd look into it further to issue a refund. I followed up with the company and on Feb 6 was told that they understand the situation and would honour it. On February 16, I was offered a refund of $40 which I declined stating that I should be refunded more than that. On March 2, I was offered $45+tax. I still am not agreeable. I have multiple issues. They said they tried to confirm the appointment and without that, it is cancelled. If cancelled, I get a refund. However, I had pre-paid so confirmed or not, they needed to show up at 1pm. They did ask for a PHONE number, had they tried to confirm by phone, I would understand but they sent a TEXT message not knowing if the number could accept a text message; when there was no reply, they didn't try to call. At the end of the day, I had paid for them to show up at 1pm. There was no mention it needed to be confirmed (otherwise I would have provided my cell phone to confirm) or that they wouldn't arrive at the agreed upon and paid time. Read Less
