First of all, the examiner introduced me and asked few things nicely. His instructions were very clear. That made me relaxed and completed the G-test with success on last Thursday. I never post reviews but I felt I needed to post one after the crappy reviews below. After I read the reviews below I was honestly quite nervous to go to this location for my g test, which turned out to be for no reason. Everyone I encountered here was extremely pleasant and kind. I arrived at 8 as my road test was for 830. The doors didn’t open until about 815 or 820 and I queued up to check in the computer. The computer stopped working and two of the office ladies came over to assist, one proceeding to enter my information for me twice to no avail. She then referred me to the desk to check in with another lady. I went back to my car and my examiner (I believe his name was Derek, I was so nervous I ended up not remembering) came out immediately. The instructions were clear and concise, and he was incredibly friendly. Very talkative which I appreciated because it helped me not be as nervous. I passed and went back in. Yes, I had to wait but this is an office service that you do end up waiting for, I imagine we only see half of what needs to be done for each patron. I don’t go in expecting that I’ll sail in and be out like at a coffee shop. The same lady that checked me in gave me my paperwork and i was done. Every single person I encountered was extremely friendly and pleasant. Good mornings and congratulations all around. I just had to post it because my experience was very unlike some below and the employees I encountered today deserve some praise. The g isn’t hard. I was very nervous. I made a few mistakes but overall if you know how to drive and have been practising and follow the rules you will be fine. My examiner gave me feedback as well which I appreciated because I know I could have done better at some points. I do believe that you don’t need to know the route or that the time matters. I went to Burlington because it was convenient for where I live and wanted to not waste the day so I picked the earliest appointment. Yes it was busy, it was rush hour, but let’s be honest if your taking your test in the GTA you need to know how to drive in busy traffic. I didn’t know the route at all, hadn’t even been on or off those highway exits before (I usually take a different exit there), and never drove in the residential area. The instructions are clear enough that if you know the rules of the road, and follow the signs you will do fine, without having a preferred time or knowing the testing routes. Read Less

Very good experience. Staff are pleasant and helpful. I think extra office staff would go a long way to help the reputation of this center. The current employees do a good job handling the volume of people that visit this location. The traffic examiner assigned to me was professional, gave clear and concise directions and gave thoughtful, constructive feedback in a respectful way. Read Less

I passed my exam! I made an appointment online for the driving test a month ago. They give me an appointment for 8:30 am which was perfect for my work schedule. I arrived half an hour before the appointment as they ask to do (my receipt of the appointment online) and at 7:50 am I was waiting outside the door, in the rain! I love being punctual and the rain... I parked and checked in as per their request but did not do the exam until 9:30 am! Had I not re-entered to complain I probably would not have taken the exam because there was a problem with their computers and the system had kicked my information out was what I was told not even with a slight apologetic tone. The young lady who examined me was professional and very calm. I would give 10 stars for the examiner and as for their customer service and their organizational skills in the office maybe two stars. I wish I could give this place negative stars - I haven't had a lot of trouble getting my G license, and thankfully, I only have to take the test once. None the less, it was disastrous. I initially tried to book online, and believed I would have my test in early June. I arrived at the center to discover the website had messed up, and had to rebook. I was given no indication of this online. When I came back a month and a half later to do my road test, the instructor was 20 minutes late. It being a bright afternoon, I was wearing sunglasses. Innocent, right? The sort of thing any sensible driver would do when it's a cloudless day. Wrong, according to my instructor - I had marks taken off every section for not checking, despite having been vigorously looking (and moving my head in the process). She told me I have to fully turn my neck for it to count - a totally unreasonable and stupid thing to do if you're trying to assess dangers quickly (think for a second about how often you fully move your head and neck to check your review mirror. Silly, right?) During the test, when I asked for instructions, I misheard my instructor, and when I asked again, I was told not to "give attitude." I tried to clarify that I had misheard, and the instructor snapped at me again. Along our return on the highway, there was heavy traffic and I was not being let back into the right lane, so I slowed down slightly to try and get in, as per her instructions. I was snapped at again for doing this, and told the move was not "safe." I attempted to explain that I was trying to follow the instructor's assistance and she would not allow me to do so. On the exit ramps, I was told off for being too slow even though I was following the speed limit, as I had been taught to do at driving school. I cannot believe I had marks deduced for asking for clarification and following road signs. In the end, I was just barely passed, and the instructor told me blatantly that she would have failed me for attitude if she could have done so. On my test sheet, there were marks deduced in the parallel parking section even though we hadn't done a parallel park. Though I am glad she "let it go" as she said to me, I am appalled by the behavior of this instructor. That place needs to reassess who they hire - people come there to take road tests, and that's already stressful enough without someone telling you off for asking a question. Bottom line: Avoid having your road test at this center if at all possible. Read Less

I would give this place zero stars if I could, but the reviews forced me to put at least one on. This place is absolutely terrible, you have to book the G2 test one month in advance for a dumb test that takes 20 minutes. Its all just a huge scam and a big money grab, they fail you on purpose the first time just so that you pay again the second time. The instructor I had the first time didn't pass me because apparently I was going at 40 kn/h in a 60 km/h zone when I clearly was I was watching but he was lying of course, and he said I was going to slow and impeding traffic when I was accelerating clearly he doesn't understand that it takes a few seconds to go from 0 km/h and hour to 60 km/h, like give me a break. Then he said I didn't shoulder check to switch lanes to the left when I obviously saw me do it but claimed I didn't. They are literally sitting there right next to you in the passenger seat how do they not see what your doing, are they blind or something? . He slso told me to hurry up on the two way stop when I was inching in to see if there was any cars coming which is the right thing to do, but apparently not to him of course. And the second the test was over and I wanted to ask him more questions, he just opened the door and raced off because I bet he didn't want to admit he ripped me off. Also, its honestly so dumb, they make the test times so inconvenient, mostly during the mid afternoon lunch hour when roads are busy, just so that you have more traffic to deal with making it harder for you, again another scheme to get you less points on the test and fail it. Also, why don't they just have the place open on the weekend when its more convenient,t you literally have to miss a day of work just to go to some waste of time test that you may or may not even pass because of how ridiculous the instructors are. The second time I went, apparently my brake light was out on the left, and he put the test out of order, but I don't get why we couldn't have just done it, because you can still see the one on the right and the middle, all the more reason to cancel it and take your money, and he told me to do it again in 10 days which is a total lie because now I have to again wait another month of for this rip off of a 20 minute test. So if I were you I wouldn't waste your time here because the instructors are clueless, and just want to rip you off so you can pay again, its all a sham and a scheme to get rich by pulling tricks form up there sleeve. I don't understand what people are expecting when renewing their license. The lady at the front desk was professional and courteous, not super enthusiastic, but how can you be handling the same forms all day? Do people expect these facilities to pamper their ass? Get your heads out of the clouds this is the real world. If the person at the front got rude its probably because you kept asking the same "dumb" questions, and held up the line. You are coming in here for a professional service. This isn't misinformed kids going to chuckecheese its Adults getting their license. Do your own part to understand the procedure or arrive early if you have inquires. It's not 'fun' to renew your license; the facilities were clean, professional, direct. Don't come in here sucking your thumb expecting to get your hynie pampered. Do some research on the license your are applying for and be ready for whats required of you. The driving test part for a G license was very straight forward and took about 15 minutes(highway,parallel park, etc.).
