If you want to be a safe driver don't use this school.Was behind them on the highway after we had snow the night before.they had cleared a small maybe 1 foot by 1 foot  area on there rear window and had not cleaned the snow off of the rear lights so you could not see brake lights, turn signal or even just the normal running lights. After passing them in the left lane they pulled in behind me on an icy snowy road and proceeded to tail gate me for miles until I was able to safely change lanes. They certainly don't believe in the 2 second rule.So if they don't make the car safe before driving it & then don't drive it in a safe manner I don't think you can expect them to teach you or your family to be safe and responsible drivers. John Hawkins did more than teach me the skills I would need; he inspired the confidence that I was already capable of said skills. Do not underestimate the life of the union driven civil service is live and well at ICBC and I feel for individuals who have to deal with hhese people on a daily basis. You. I would highly recommend Wallace driving. I signed my daughter up for lessons to augment the practice driving we were doing to prepare for her N. All the Wallace instructors were excellent coaches and she finished each lesson inflated and more confident about her skills. I received excellent, quick, respectful and helpful customer service from the office and from Mr Wallace and could tell they take great pride in their business. We can't say enough about Wallace Driving School. My son took the GLP program and loved it. He really liked his driving instructors, Skip being his favourite, but liked the others too! They all were patient with his nervousness and gave him so many tips to ensure he became a safe and cautious driver. Mr. Wallace was very personable and helpful in helping my son do the best he could do for Test Day. The website was very user friendly for logging in driving hours and information. I was driving from Cassidy to Nanaimo this evening only to see one of your instructors driving one of your company vehicles tailgating and cutting people off. Shouldn't your driving instructors be setting a good example for young drivers like myself? Read Less

You think riding on the shoulder is safer than proper filtering? you have obviously never driven outside of North america. Car drivers are not used to looking in their mirrors for things in the shoulder. Read Less

You don't know what you are talking about. Motorcycle filtering is safe. I am 6x safer if I filter than sit in traffic. Look at the U of Berkley and California Highway Patrol study before you open your mouth. Read Less

I give one star after seeing the owner's response below. What I was unhappy about was their lack of flexibility. For some reason, there was a communication break down between my daughter and the school. It might be my daughter's fault but who knows? Poor communication happens all the time. Anyways it happened and everybody makes a mistake especially when the person is young. Now they say there's no way of fixing it unless I pay ridiculous amount of money for a service which was offered free at the beginning as the deal. Regarding the practices, she did them although she just didn't document them because she didn't know she had to. Is it a punishment for the mistake? Just blaming the student. No flexibility at all unlike usual business practices here. Too bad. Read Less

My 16 year daughter registered for the package and decided to opt out the teen smart because she read it's not mandatory. After she failed her first test, we were hoping the driving school would give her another lesson, but just because she didn't take the teen smart, the driving school told us that they were done with her. My understanding was that the school takes care of a student until they pass, however, there seems to be a fine print that the student must finish the teen smart in order to get the service. Is this school an insurance company that lays out all the fine details to trick customers? If I could give a rating of no stars, I would. Read Less

I highly recommend Wallace Driving School. I found all of the instructors I had to be calm, patient and very professional. Fantastic instruction, friendly and so easy to deal with!! John was my instructor and having previously driven for 20+ years and then having to do my road test again I was nervous �. Initially, I had a good experience with Wallace Driving School. Their failure to meet basic customer service standards, though, completely changed that for me. I had scheduled a single lesson before a driving test just to clean up the edges and the owner Steve Wallace had quoted me $50 over the phone. That seemed fair being a single 1 1/2 hour lesson. I took my lesson and then was told by the instructor that I owed $145. Thinking she had been misinformed and been told I was taking multiple lessons, I phoned the head office trying to clear it up. Again, I was told I owed $145. I explained the situation and was handed off again to Steve Wallace. He said "I can't imagine why I would say that" then proceeded to tell me it was still $145. Instead of offering some kind of solution, he chose to charge the exorbitant price anyway and simply mistreated a well-meaning customer. I had recommended them to a number of friends and am regretting sending them to be thrown under the bus. I sincerely hope you choose another school. Read Less
