It was such a joyful experience to work with Drivewise. My instructor Arthur (I hope that's the right spelling) was the most patient instructor I can ever have. He always say "you drive, I say thanks to other drivers", so I don't have to be nervous on the road. I still keep his drawing about parallel park, which still helps. Shout out to DriveWise BC!! I took my course in 2009, and now live in LA. Today I was rear-ended during my hour-long commute to work, but thanks to DriveWise for teaching me some handy evasive maneuvers I walked away with minimal injuries. The instincts my in-car instructor drilled in to me took over during the accident - hard to believe almost ten years later these skills saved my life. I have had my N for half a year now, but I want to learn how to drive a car with a standard transmission(I only knew how to drive an automatic transmission). As far as I know, this is one of the few, if not the only driving school on the island that offers driving lessons for stick shifts. The instructor, Sherif, was very friendly, patient, and encouraging; he taught me the basic skills I need to drive a manual transmission. He is also passionate about what he is teaching and got me really hooked on driving a manual transmission. If I want to learn more about driving a manual car, I will definitely go to DriveWise again! Excellent driving school.When I initially booked a lesson the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. However the instructor they gave me for the lesson wasn't very helpful for me. He was very scatter brained and seemed to want to talk on and on about driving, and also unrelated subjects while we were parked rather than showing me how to drive which I paid for the lesson to do.I brought this to the attention of the receptionist, who apologized and got me in touch with the owner of drivewise.  The owner said that he would personally give me a free lesson to make up for the one I was not satisfied with.Over the course of my next few lessons the owner was extremely kind and helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in teaching others how to drive safely.  He went into detail on any questions I had, and was very level headed and clear with his instructions during my lessons. The owner was determined to help me get my license. As a 30 year old getting my license, i was fraught with anxiety at first, which made it a bit difficult with some of their instructors.
