I used Abutus Driving School for my daughter when she was ready for on the road instruction. The instructor was great for my daughter who was very anxious about her time behind the wheel. He was able ...
I used Abutus Driving School for my daughter when she was ready for on the road instruction. The instructor was great for my daughter who was very anxious about her time behind the wheel. He was able to make her feel focused and comfortable while learning to drive. He always showed up on time, was super courteous and my daughter learned a lot. At the end of each lesson, he gave a useful summary of things that went well and also told my daughter what she needed to improve on. The instructor was also able to devote extra time to skills that needed more time to perfect, such as parallel parking. My daughter is now a safe and confident driver who feels comfortable with city driving. Abutus Driving School prices were also very reasonable. I had shopped around for driving schools and found this driving school to be a good value. We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend using Abutus Driving School to anyone looking to learn how to drive or even needing a refresher for city driving.

It's unfortunate there is not a better outlet for this review. If anything, this is a warning to those in my neighbourhood wanting to learn to drive, and to do so confidently but SAFELY.A sole occupant of a car marked with Arbutus Driving School on its side cut me off while making a left turn out of the PetroCan gas station onto MacDonald Street in Kitsilano. He then gunned the gas and ran a red light and cut off another car, who was in the intersection in the middle of Broadway & MacDonald, mid-way through its left turn.Shocked at the brazenness of this older gentleman (no student in the car), I called the driving school asking to speak to the owner and turns out, the driver of that car was the owner. Hilarious.Cutting me off, fine, people make bad split second decisions, it happens. But there's no excuse for gunning through a red, swerving to dodge an on-coming car that's in the middle of its left turn and all while doing so with ARBUTUS DRIVING SCHOOL written on the side of your vehicle. That's just embarrassing to your company and plain dangerous.Please take more care driving through my neighbourhood or kindly gtfo.
