Condescending and hostile instructors. The woman Anna is mean if you happen to BE the kind of person she has a sore wound from who knows where. She was downright mean to me when I made mistakes while learning to change lane for the first time in my life and on many other occasions too that I actually cried during the lesson. You're helping new drivers, not out to humiliate or nab their confidence on the road. Instructor Kurt is a big whiny baby who is emotionally unstable and ego-tripping and kept referring to the practice vehicle as "his car". Tagging onto a name brand but poor service if you are not a cute young teenager from a well-to-do neighbourhood. Read Less

I took a "air brakes" 2 day course. They did not inform me they are not able to certify me for my pre trip and I would have to go somewhere else to do it. Where as all other schools offer it as a part of the course and at the same price. They offered me no help aferwards and left me stranded. They would not answer my calls of refund me the protion to get certified. They should NOT be used for air brakes or any other course needing a certificate as all other companies include it for the same price.Read Less

Reading the last review mad me think that I had to write something too. Our son took the full GLP course at another local driving school and, not only did he not pass his road test, but the examiner couldn't believe that he even HAD training because of the all elements he was missing during the road test! After hearing from some parents at school about DU Academy, we got him a lesson package and they taught him the right way. It was refreshing because our instructor was very kind, but also very knowledgeable - whereas he was scared of his last instructor. I also liked that they have the private facility to work on things before they go out to the street. He has now passed his N exam and will be joining them for the Collision Avoidance Course to increase his skills. I think myself and my husband will join too! Read Less

Having the first of my three kids "coming of age" for driving scared the h**l out of me! I did some serious research - as there was no way I was going to teach them myself! Through the experience I realized that there are a lot of companies that teaches road rules - but only Driving Unlimited Academy teaches new drivers to be good drivers for the rest of their lives. Other schools I called had no other background in driving than a one-week course at JIBC - wow! I met with them all and realized it was no different than me teaching my kids! Driving Unlimited is a professional driver training company that teaches the police and government agencies. They taught my child how to DRIVE - not just the road rules. They get started on a private facility with no cars and it really took the pressure off (me as well as my child :) ) Also included in the GLP course is a collision avoidance course. She did that at the end of her training and could I ever see a difference in her confidence and skill level! Very impressive curriculum! They have a great way with the kids and really are teaching the correct things. Parents - invest the extra money and do the full GLP instead of just lessons- it will pay off down the road when your kids avoid collisions! Just my two cents - and it is well deserved praise for Driving Unlimited! My other two kids will be taking the same course when they are ready. Thanks again! Read Less
