Did the air brakes course and class 1 at Gennaro. Sandy did a great job with air brake course, his teaching prepared me for the knowledge test. The staff is excellent, friendly and very helpful with the whole process. I had Roger for my instructor for the class 1 driving. Roger is a great instructor, positive, knowledgeable, professional, patient and prepared everyday. He did a wonderful job of preparing me for test day, which I passed. 5 star instructor. I would like to give a huge thanks to all personal at Gennaro Transport, from the team of receptionist to the drivers trainer for all their amazing work and supports they gave me. I came to this place nervous, anxious about how I could drive a 75 feet long trailer with 18 speed tractor, when I personally never driven a small manual transmission car. With the instructions of professor DJ, I became so good and confident with single clutch shifting, he is an expert to teach how to easily shift gears. With professor Roger, I gained a lot knowledge on professional driving awareness and safety rules, this guy will make sure that if you fallow his instructions properly, you will never fail in a road driving test, or getting pulled by police for infractions. I recently went to Gennaro to take the "refresher" course with airbrakes. My entire process took just over a week from in class to road test. The staff are very informative and helpful. Poor instructing to say the least. You're better off investing in someone who will accurately take the time to show you everything instead of making you feel uncomfortable to the point were you don't wanna be in the truck anymore. I feel like I wasted my time and dollars learning nothing with someone who had 25+years experience. Another thing before I left the staff at the front didn't give me any confidence when I was leaving..They pretty much made me feel like I was an idiot. So for my advice to anyone who want's to invest there time in a trucking school do your research and consider other places before picking this one. Read Less

I got my Class 1 at Gennaro Transport Training and their instructors and staff were phenomenal! Very supportive it really shows through the teaching and office staff that the student is the priority. Very friendly and positive environment and I got into the truck training right away and road tested as soon as I was ready! I was very displeased with the service I received from Gennaro. The Instructor would eat his lunch while I drove and gave no feedback unless if I did something really wrong.Also they are a bunch of thieves, I was booked for 2 lessons, one on a Thursday morning and other on Friday morning. I had booked that portion of the morning off from work for both days to go drive. Thursday went well, then I went on the Friday at my scheduled time, only to be told that my lesson was moved to a later time, without telling me in advance. Long story short, they didn't want to give me a refund for the class that they moved without me knowing.I ended up going with Cameron Driving School and it was great.
