Take the Wheel Driving School is a new company based in Noranda who are here to help you reach your goal of passing your practical Driving Assessment (PDA). Take the Wheel is operated by Michael Brittain, a Certificate IV & Keys 2 Drive Qualified Driving Instructor. This is the highest level of instruction currently available. Michael believes that students learning to drive should be encouraged to learn to drive a manual car as this will give them a far greater scope to drive all types of vehicles in years to come. Learning to drive a manual car allows you to really be "in tune" or "at one" with your car. Using dual control vehicle teaching techniques, Michael can assist you to drive.

Michael is very professional when it comes to the job and achieving the goal of getting students to learn to safely drive a car and pass their driving assessment. He is very friendly and knows how to maintain a calm environment especially for nervous drivers. With Michael's guidance I've successfully passed my manual PDA. I would highly recommend hiring Michael. He works well with anyone from high-school students right up to adults.

Mike is such a great teacher - he is always calm, patient, has a great sense of humour, quashes nerves, (parent nerves as well) and instills confidence while teaching those learning to drive to be a safe and skillful driver. Mike is very easy and flexible to book lessons with and is very helpful in booking the driving tests. I cannot recommend Mike highly enough as a driving instructor and for making something that seemed quite daunting into a really positive and enjoyable experience.

As a mature licensed driver that hasn't been behind the wheel in a number of years, I wanted a refresher course to rebuild my confidence. Mike understood my needs and reintroduced me to all of the environments I am likely to encounter in my day to day driving. He is very patient and reinforces safe driving habits. Mike is such a great teacher - he is always calm, patient, has a great sense of humour, quashes nerves, (parent nerves as well) and instills confidence while teaching those learning to drive to be a safe and skillful driver. As a mature licensed driver that hasn't been behind the wheel in a number of years, I wanted a refresher course to rebuild my confidence.
