Listening to Mark talk is a perfect way to stretch simple ideas into hours of mind numbing pain. The owner is verbose and lacks creditability in his off topic rants. The presentation didnt match the written assessments while the theory took up +80% of the day. We only really learnt how to use high range 4WD on a gravel road. Other trainers seemed switched on but hearing the owner say how he doesn't like doing the job and wants to sell up is unprofessional and pretty stupid. No quality facilities. No lunch provided. i accompanied my daughter Kaitlin on the young driver awareness course saturday, any parent, with a teenager who has a 4x4, and doesnt take advantage of this free course is crazy, its 6.5 hours of useful information, in the form of videos to show them how wrong a fun day out can go, and how to avoid disasters, they were shown how a 4x4 operates, and how to maintain their vehicle, all important stuff when you think about what they expect their vehicles to do. Then we all went ...out for a drive so they could learn how to perform a safe recovery, drive their own vehicles on sand, and up small sand dunes, not as easy as it looks, but the look of satisfaction on my daughters face when she selected the right button put her foot down and drove up that hill was priceless. Thankyou Mark, and the other instructors who selflessly gave up your saturday to help our kids be safe, not to mention the great gifts they all recieved that was donated, from recovery kits to tyre guages, Kaitlin was lucky enough to have recieved a voucher for a 4x4 course with Eureka, awsome! Completed the Sand Training Course today (30/04/16). Didn't realise how much I didn't know about how to safely drive my 4WD in sand based areas until today. Thanks to Peter and Mark for providing a well run course. Your ability to put everyone's mind at ease before we started the course and throughout the course made us all keen to approach any situation in which we all did safely and effectively. Drove away from today's course with 100% more confidence on how to drive my 4WD through sand dunes, beach etc. and importantly how to safely recover a vehicle if bogged amongst many other things.
