I did 8 days over 4 weeks classroom education when I didnt have to, then 3 weeks after that they booked me into the wrong HR gearbox for my driving test, then 2 weeks after that I've still heard nothing after several unanswered phone calls & emails. I obtained my Heavy Combination truck license through tide recently. I was some what nervous at first because I had not driven a prime mover since 5 or 6 years ago when I attempted my HC license in my early 20's. I drove all the way from South East Gippsland because I rang most of the other training organizations and they were currently booked out, I also had a friend say TIDE provide good truck driver training. Well they certainly lived up to that standard, I had Mark as my instructor and was impressed with his vast knowledge of driving heavy vehicles. It was a full day of driving, with a 45 min or 1 hour assessment from memory in between. By the time of my assessment I felt comfortable and confident driving the HC truck around the Northern Suburbs. I would like to say thanks to Mark, your method of instruction was easily understood, interesting and while at the end of the day I felt mentally tired I learned a hell of a lot in a short space of time. Short and sweet.. I was a little hesitant to be doing my Cert IV Warehouse with HR licence thrown in. After studying with Tide for the past month or so, and having a 7 Month old baby and myself having medical checks to be sure I can do some Truck driving, let's just say Tide will look after you if you make an effort and sit the course and not be too impatient. In the month I've been there, I cannot count how many great people have been doing the different Certification that ...Tide has to offer. Family owned business. tide was happy enough to throw on a lunch yesterday free of charge for the students! I am weeks away from finalising my HR licence and Forklift licence as well. Just attended Cert II in driving operation with TIDE Training Services. Had such a great experience, because of ALL their help, As English is not my first language so received extra help including one to one sessions. The trainer Briant had excellent skills and well aware of the industry, also very friendly and caring person. Staffs are very friendly and caring people too. Continuing on to do another course.
