I recently did my 2 day learner course program at Allstar. I had Hamish for day 1 and Doug for day 2 of the course. Hamish was very knowledgeable, especially in the class room but on the track seemed to have very little patience with everyone and was a little hard to understand his directions. He seemed to get extremely frustrated with people very quickly which definitely made the new riders uncomfortable. I think he has a lot of knowledge and is great for the class room but as soon as you step out on the track he may be daunting for people who haven't had much riding experience in the past. Doug on the other hand was absolutely sensational, also very knowledgeable, fantastic attitude, extremely patient but fair and firm when needed during the testing sections. He was loud, clear, had a great personality and was very supportive of all the riders with different experience levels. He is the reason for my 5 star review and a big asset to your company! Having ridden quite a bit in the past and having previously held my learners permit a few years back, I'm happy to say that I learnt a lot and felt much more confident on the road after this course. I passed both days and went straight home to ride my new bike over the weekend :) I will definitely be coming back to all star and requesting Doug for my Check Ride and License Test! Read Less

My hubby and I just completed our full license with All Star and couldn't be happier! We started their on the learners course, did the check ride, then completed the full license and I cannot find one fault in any of the training! The staff really go above and beyond to ensure you are learning the proper techniques and most importantly take the time to give you priceless feedback. All round great experience! I had never ridden a motorbike before attending their 2 day course. I was a little apprehensive about having to travel so far to get to Dandenong South which was roughly just over an hour ride but that doubt didn't last long. Their practice course, supplied gear and Honda CB125e were all great to learn the fundamentals of riding. Very happy with the beginner course and the advise of the instructors. Roughy a year later I came back out with my own Honda CBR300RA to do their check ride day, which actually was a good boost of confidence to ride in a group that had a similar ride skill set as me. Third time out was the big test with Derek, no nonsense just simple instructions on what I need to do. After passing my licence ride test he even helped take my L plate off my bike. Great work guys! Recently got my license converted to a victorian. what an amazing experience it was to train with DEREK. Wonderful training sessions mixed with theory and practical and some fun to keep you going for the day. Check ride with DOUG was equally fun on the road with feedbacks to keep your learning experience going. Will definitely recommend ALL STAR MOTORCYCLE TRAINING. I read a couple of pretty bad yet strange reviews on here before booking in for my check ride and license test but after going, I can't imagine what they were going on about to be honest. Derek was great despite winding me up for being a pom. knowledgeable and patient (not sure I could do that job that's for sure) and all about safety and best practice which is what you want I suppose. Had a great day overall, nice ride out, learnt a lot and passed which was nice. Would recommend them that's for sure. Read Less

Had Tayne take us on my learners course. You can see his passion for riding comes through in his lessons. Patient, friendly, helpful, and has extensive knowledge in all road and bike related questions. With instructors like him, the road would be a better place. Failed practical because of my nerves the first time, and on the resit, he helped more, improving my faults, answering every stupid question to help boost confidence, and ensuring all his students would finish up as safe riders, with a healthy respect for the road. Excellent place with excellent teachers, will be back in 3-14 months. Only down side with the place, don't forget $2.50 for the coffee machine, or it's water for you! Read Less
