Julie is a great teacher, and knows cars and road rules better than just about anyone. She is clear in her instructions and explains why you do (or don't do) certain things rather than just telling you to do it. She really helped with my confidence driving, and I genuinely enjoyed our time in the car together. Sad to leave her but glad I passed the test with her help. Absolutely brilliant driving school, couldn't have found a better teacher. I was taught bad habits by a previous instructor and came to Wemco, where Mary noticed these immediately and sort to rectify them with a patient and well thought out approach. I not only received lessons but tonnes of information on road safety which helped to improve my driving outside of lesson times, and also tips on how to drive in the UK (where I'm from) so I am a good driver there also. Julie is no doubt the best driving instructor I could hope for. She took me from basically no experience to confident P plater. She taught me driving skills, techniques, and practices, that I will use for the rest of my life. My favourite example of this is her advice on how to adjust your side view mirrors. VicRoads says that your mirrors should be pointed in, so you can see the side of the car; But Julie advises that they should be facing outward, reducing the blind spot ov...er your shoulder. I feel blind when my mirrors aren't adjusted like this. This is the kind of insight that few people can give. She is very friendly, and great fun to be around, and stays calm, even when I make mistakes (unlike some parents), and gives practical information on how to improve. Julie is a fantastic instructor and one of the best professional driving instructors I've ever had. Her tips such as setting up mirrors to avoid blind-spots are tips I still use to this very day and are tips I never received from anyone else.
