When I took lessons at this driving school, I was introduced to their system of teaching students how to drive. As a person who had never been behind the wheel of a car before, I was expected to learn how to drive competently and independently after ten lessons. I don't think that this is a good system to impose at all on learner students since everyone learns at a different pace. Someone may take 5 lessons to learn how to drive competently, while others may require 30. It was a system of teaching that completely diminished my confidence in driving for a short while. The instructor I was assigned did not help as well, as I was constantly made to feel bad that I wasn't becoming a completely competent driver after a measly 10 lessons. For a driving school that's supposed to help nervous first-time drivers, I don't think it does a good job of doing that at all. I would not recommend this school, and I think that people are much better off looking for local driving schools instead of this. Read Less

Metro is not a driving school per se - it connects learners and driving instructors and manages payment. There is no guarantee that you’d be assigned to a competent instructor or you’d be given a good car if you take the test package. In my last attempt, I was allotted a very old car which might’ve affected my test performance. Previously I had one lesson prior test with one of Metro’s instructors. The lesson diminished my confidence and left me too tired for the test. My advice to fellow learners would be to contact local instructors in test area instead of calling the ads that shows up in web search. Read Less

It took me only four sessions to get done - one on Saturday, one Monday morning and one lunch time, then one on Tuesday morning - the same day of my road test. Of course, I was not a new driver though had little experience of driving in Australia. Very nice instructors - Zak and Mark. Mark only gave me one session but he pointed out several mistakes I would have made otherwise... Anyway, good driving school and good instructors, deserving five stars! Read Less

I made a booking with Metro Driving School for a driving lesson last weekend (Saturday 6th July) which they confirmed over the phone.When the time for my lesson arrived, I waited patiently at home for them to arrive. When the instructor was 30 minutes late, I attempted to phone the company to confirm again that my lesson was booked, however nobody answered the call. I left a message with my name and phone number. I would have understood if they had double booked. I would have understood even if they phoned on the Monday to apologise. It is now Wednesday 10th July and I still have not heard back. Needless to say I will not be booking through this company again. Read Less

When I took lessons at this driving school, I was introduced to their system of teaching students how to drive. As a person who had never been behind the wheel of a car before, I was expected to learn how to drive competently and independently after ten lessons. I don't think that this is a good system to impose at all on learner students since everyone learns at a different pace. Someone may take 5 lessons to learn how to drive competently, while others may require 30. It was a system of teaching that completely diminished my confidence in driving for a short while. The instructor I was assigned did not help as well, as I was constantly made to feel bad that I wasn't becoming a completely competent driver after a measly 10 lessons. I made a booking with Metro Driving School for a driving lesson last weekend (Saturday 6th July) which they confirmed over the phone.When the time for my lesson arrived, I waited patiently at home for them to arrive.
