I cannot recommend Panache Driver Training highly enough.
When a car pulled out directly in front of my son in a 100km/h zone, he knew exactly what to do. He stayed calm, braked correctly, steered safely, and remained in control. The only reason he was able to react so well was because he had completed the Panache Driver Training Defensive Driving Course the year before.
This is not just another driving course. Derek has created something incredibly valuable for young drivers and their families. The training is practical, hands-on, and focused on the kinds of real-life situations that can save lives.
Every young driver should have access to this kind of experience. It builds confidence, skills, and awareness in a way that standard driving lessons simply cannot.
If you have a teenage driver, do not leave it to chance. I am so grateful my son had this training.

I highly recommend Panache Driver Training. Thank you to Derek, who was a fantastic driving instructor, very professional, explained road rules and road safety and manoeuvres clearly and was patient when attempting manoeuvres multiple times. Learning to drive through Panache Driver Training helped me to become a competent and confident driver.

Derek's Trailer Backing course is fantastic. Two hours of private tuition was fantastic and I believe it was a much better use of my time than the full day group classes. It's all up to me now, but Derek has given me an excellent start and helped to address the anxiety around reversing. I was surprised at how enjoyable it was. Thank you, Derek!

My son Alex has a neurodivergent diagnosis so it was a challenge finding someone who understands and caters for this in their driver training. He also had a specific timeframe to get his training finished before his L's expired.
Derek was very flexible and understanding and was able to put aside some time out of his weekend schedule to fit my son in.
Each week my Son had very positive feedback about the attention and quality of Dereks lessons and reiterated on many occasions that Derek made him feel very comfortable. Which is a sometimes a challenge with Neurodivergent kids finding someone they can related to and feel comfortable around.
It was also really good that Derek could talk him all the way from initial driver training, covering off all the competencies right up to the final assessment and certificate without having to go to anyone else.
I highly recommend giving Derek a shot !

My daughter's experience with Panache Driver Training was second to none. Under Derek's expert guidance, she has become a knowledgeable, confident and safe driver who is thrilled to finally get her Ps. We'll be back in touch with Derek in another year for my son and are also keen to book in soon for the defensive driving course.

I cannot recommend Panache Driver Training highly enough.
When a car pulled out directly in front of my son in a 100km/h zone, he knew exactly what to do. He stayed calm, braked correctly, steered safely, and remained in control. My daughter's experience with Panache Driver Training was second to none. Under Derek's expert guidance, she has become a knowledgeable, confident and safe driver who is thrilled to finally get her Ps.
